TPF PROJECTS

AAA Re-Engineering Apr 2002 –Present

Client: Sabre, USA. Role: Module LeaderTeam Size: 10

The Project

This project is about changing the size of AAA from 1K to 4K. Current Sabre system has AAA of 1K. This is to be done for the project “Shared PNR” This project requires to access some validation and authorization data, which is present in chains. The frequent access to this data results in more I/O. The concern here is to expand the size of AAA to 4K so that this authorization data can be fit into the same AAA.

Number of programs need to be changed to implement this. The module, which is required here, is to take out the references of AAA. For this new macros are to be called to get information in block other than AAA. This includes lots of coding and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Investigation, Coding & Testing.
  • Resolve Technical Problems within the team.
  • Responsible for time estimation, Design Analysis and Design Review.
  • Responsible for Project Planning.

Features Used

  • TPF, TPFDF, Assembly Language for OS-390, SPMs.

TPF PROJECTS

Orbit Blitz Oct 2001 –Apr 2002

Client: Galileo International, USA. Role: Technical Team LeaderTeam Size: 7

The Project

Orbit Blitz is basically about solving the Orbits on Galileo System. These all orbits include Problem Tickets & Control Dumps. All users of GALILEO CRS report Problem Tickets & Control Dumps to Galileo. In this project all the Orbits are to be solved by the team. It includes fixing CTL-4, CTL-3, CTL-22, etc. Also it includes fixing problems in the current segments. So that to make a bug free CRS.

Orbits are related to all areas of CRS. For example Ticketing, Subscribers, Reservation, Fares, Availability etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Investigation, Coding & Testing.
  • Resolve Technical Problems and provide development startup environment to the Team.
  • Responsible for Project Planing and communication with the client.

Features Used

  • TPF, TPF-C, TPFDF, Assembly Language for OS-390, TASTE, SST, SPMs.

TPF PROJECTS

TIER-Data Acquisition Dec2000 –Sep2001

Client: Galileo International, USA. Role: Technical Team LeaderTeam Size: 5

The Project

The TIER-Data Acquisition gathers all the information from various sources/Data Bases, which is required by all other modules of Ticketing Input Editor Rewrite (TIER) project. Along with this, it also performs some validations and checks, which are required for all Ticketing Entries.

The project TIER is for converting all the Assembler Segments, which are responsible for Ticketing Entries processing and validations, into TPF-C components. Any Ticketing Entry on Apollo & Galileo System has to be passed through new TPF-C segments.

These Segments will perform various checks on the input entry and validate it. For this, some data is to be retrieved from Airlines DataBase, Agent Assembly Area (AAA), Agency Accounting Table (AAT) and from some other sources. For this the TIER will call Tier-Data Acquisition segments, which are also C segments. Data Acquisition will retrieve this data from the DataBase and will put that in Doc Prod Structure Data (DPSD). TIER, to display output will use this Data. Along with this, Data Acquisition will perform various checks like Custom Checks, Printer Linkage Checks and set the corresponding indicators in DPSD.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Investigation, Coding & Testing required in the project.
  • Responsible for Making Test Plan Template, resolve technical problems.
  • Responsible for Project Planing and communication with the client.
  • Responsible for investigation required for upgradation.

Features Used

  • TPF, TPF-C, TPFDF, Assembly Language for OS-390 & TASTE.

TPF PROJECTS

Interline Electronic Ticketing May2000 – Jan2001

Client: Galileo International, USA.Role: Technical Team LeaderTeam Size: 4

The Project

Interline Electronic Ticketing is used to enable the Interline Carriers for Electronic Ticketing. This is to check the agreement between Carriers Present in the Passenger Name Record (PNR) and enable Plating Carrier to do Electronic Ticketing.

To save the cost of Tickets Printing, electronic ticketing concept was introduced to the Airlines. The main problem with the electronic ticket was that it was possible only when single carrier is present in the PNR. But in any PNR there can be multiple carriers. In that case airline could not do electronic ticketing. In Interline Electronic Ticketing there were different Interline Agreement tables (IAT) maintained on DataBase for different airlines. On Ticketing Entry this checks for all the carriers present in the PNR and checks the Plating Carrier’s IAT. If the downline carriers have valid interline agreement then it allows Electronic Ticketing otherwise gives an error message.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for investigation, coding & testing.
  • Resolve Technical Problems, Responsible for Design of Project Plan Templates.
  • Responsible for Project Planing and communication to the client.

Features Used

  • For TPF, TPFDF, Assembly Language for OS-390 & TASTE

TPF PROJECTS

Telluride Apr 2000—May 2000

Client: Galileo International, USA.Role: Technical Team MemberTeam Size: 7

The Project

Telluride was a big project of enabling ticketing through ViewPoint. ViewPoint is a Graphical User Interface of the Galileo CRS.

Earlier ticketing was not possible through Viewpoint. In this project now agent will be able to issue the ticket through Viewpoint too. The Part of Telluride was to find all the exit points in Ticketing Package. This required lots of testing and Investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for investigation, coding & testing.
  • Resolve Technical Problems.
  • Responsible for Design of Project Plan Templates.

Features Used

  • TPF, Assembly Language for OS-390 & TASTE.

TPF PROJECTS

Doc Prod Input Regression Script Mar 2000 – Apr 2000

Client: Galileo International, USA.Role: Technical Team MemberTeam Size: 4

The Project

In the project a long Input Script was to be prepared for all Doc Prod Entries to Test all the Coding Changes in the Doc Prod or other packages. This script will be run to test the Coding Changes before loading to the Production System. In this All the Doc Prod entries run one by one On Apollo as well as Galileo Systems so that all the changes on the production system will be tested.

The project Doc Prod Input Regression Script was to be designed for Doc Prod & Ticketing Package. This was the Input Entries Script Containing all the Ticketing Entries. For this all type of PNRs was to be prepared and then different type of ticketing were to be applied on the PNRs. But as Idea was elaborated then it was to be designed for all other packages too i.e. Availability, Subscribers, Teletype etc.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing & Making Changes to Design as Per new requirements

Features Used

  • TPF , Assembly Language for OS-390, Apollo/Galileo User Entries, Alysis of package from User Point of View.
TPF PROJECTS

Availability Reallocation Dec1999 – Mar2000

Client: Galileo International, USA.Role: Technical Team MemberTeam Size: 6

The Project

The segments in Availability Package which were compatible with 24 Bit Architecture were to be made compatible with 31 Bit Architecture This was upgradation of Segments for 31 Bit Processing.

In this Project all the segments in Availability Package were to be investigated for 24 Bit processing i.e. Segments in Availability Package, which work on 24, bit Architecture. After that a Modec Macro was to be added in the segments to make it work for 31 Bit Architecture. All the entries passing through these segments will now follow 31 Bit Architecture. This was only for Apollo Core.

  • Responsible for All Investigation, coding, testing and Design for Both Cores
  • Responsible for making Test Plan Template for the project.
  • Resolve Technical Problems.
  • Responsible for Project Design
