Game Day Administrator Job Description

The game day administrator has the following responsibilities:
Away Games:

●  Get theteam's game day bag from the Pond Springs Mini Storage Unit 353 and bring itto the game.

●  Get theprinted roster fromthe Coach or VP of Ops and provide to both team scorebook keepers and game announcer.

●  Confirm that all game day volunteers are present and understand duties. If someone does not show-up, recruit from the stands. Notify the Volunteer Coordinator with the person that did not show-up along with the family member that was recruited so volunteer credits are updated.

●  Mediate/handle any rowdy Westwood parents/fans by providing a lollipop to those in need. Security can be contacted if necessary.

●  Return the team’s game day bag to the storage unit.

Home Games (In addition to the responsibilities above):

●  Get the scorer’s tables, chairs, cones, water coolers, water bottles and new game ballsfrom the storage unit.

●  Connect with RRISD contact to get access to Press Box, unlock the bathrooms, turn on lights and get the scoreboard control panel.

●  Provide a walkie-talkie to the Head Coach in order to assist with communication with the GDA.

●  Work with the Treasurer (John Lammers) to collect vouchers from the refs.

●  Confirm Athletic Trainer is present, contact VP of Ops (Pam Lawson) if the trainer is not onsite 15 minutes before game time.

●  Fill water coolers with ice/water from Trainer’s Room and place on the two benches. In addition, fill the water bottles for the WW bench.

●  Get defibrillator from the WW coach and bring to the scorer’s table.

●  Setup cones on the field (reference yellow circles on diagram).

●  Place 50 new game balls as specified around the field (reference orange circles on diagram).

●  Immediately following the final game whistle, collect the game balls starting with the away sidelines and endlines.

●  If more than one game is going on that day, work with the other GDA to handoff/pickup duties.

●  After last game,insure the players pick-up trash on the field and stands. Give the scoreboard control panel to the WW official. Take the defibrillator to the WW Coach. Make sure bathrooms are locked and lights are off (or hand-off to RRISD contact). Pack and return the tables, chairs, cones, water coolers, water bottles and balls to the storage unit.

Pre-Game Plan:

●  20 mins - Refs meeting

●  8 mins - Play National Anthem

●  5 mins - Captains meeting (if not at 20 mins)

●  2 mins - Announcements
