- Dawn Reinhart, City of La Crosse Neighborhood Housing Development Associate was scheduled to come to gain your suggestions and input on their revitalization work and plan in the neighborhood. She has a cancellation. Instead Exec Board will lead the discussion in her absence.
- Please consider filling out form below and bringing it with to the meeting to assist in the discussion. Or if you cannot make the meeting, please consider filling out and emailing to so that we may pass your suggestions along to Dawn Reinhart and the Planning Department.

Dawn Reinhart – Planning Department Discussion
City of La Crosse is dedicated to the continued revitalization of the Powell Poage Hamilton Neighborhood. Part of that dedication is through Housing Replacement. What do you, the residents of PPH, see as the What, How, Who, Where and Why of this discussion? Planning Department has provided some examples to start discussion - see below and add yours:
WHAT: Elimination of blight, more owner occupied housing, etc. PLEASE ADD:
HOW: Incentives to convert rentals to owner occupied homes, more rehab incentives, etc. PLEASE ADD:

Common Acronyms
NRC=Neighborhood Revitalization Commission: This is a City of La Crosse board, made up of selected recognized neighborhood association members , along with the Mayor and other institutions in the community. Together they work towards revitalization the neighborhoods of La Crosse. PPH treasure/Past President and City Council Member Phil Ostrem is a member of this board.
LNDC=La Crosse Neighborhood Development Corporation: This group has been in a strategic planning phase, but poised to soon be a nonprofit group in the City of La Crosse that will be available to assist the neighborhoods of La Crosse with housing and economic development projects, improving neighborhood livability and marketing the city as a great place to live.
JDC= The Joint Neighborhood Development Corporation (official name is the Gundersen/City of La Crosse Neighborhood Development Corporation) was created by the City of La Crosse and Gundersen Health System with the mission to improve the Powell-Poage-Hamilton Neighborhood on the south side of La Crosse, Wisconsin. The JDC Board of Directors, comprised of the Mayor, two City of La Crosse Council members and three Gundersen Health System Executives. Each entity contributed $250,000 to the organization for the creation of a catalyst development to provide the Powell-Poage-Hamilton neighborhood with a block redevelopment project including a needed grocery store and safe housing.
