William Tennent student Adam Adnane for capturing 1st place in Extemporaneous Speaking at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Debate League championship held recently at New Hope.
William Tennent student Michael Pronin for capturing 2ndplace in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL) District 12 Championship held recently at Saint Joseph’s Prep, earning a trip to the State Championship to be held at Susquehanna University on March 23-24, 2012. The team of Adam Adnane and LoqmanAdnane also qualified to compete for the State title with a 2ndplace finish in Policy Debate. In Parliamentary Debate, the team of Jakob Arentzen, Tom Riemenschneider, and FrankSokolowski took 3rd place and will serve as District 12’s alternate to the state tournament.Donato Luongoand Jakob Arentzen round out William Tennent High School’s state tournament contingent in Radio Announcing and Impromptu speaking, respectively.
William Tennent High School wrestler Andrew VanBuskirk for advancing to the State Championships in Hershey after placing 2nd in the heavy-weight division at regionals.
The following William Tennent High School athletes who competed at the District 1 Swimming and Diving Championships. Six athletes will advance to the State Championship, andthree school records werealso broken. Connor Forlini capturedthe 500 free-style and broke a school record set in 1994.Ian Forlini won the diving event and established a District1,as well as,school record. The relay team of Connor Forlini, Brennen Bastian, Andrew Richey, and Dylan Cooper placed fourth in the 200 free-relay to click their ticket to states. The foursome alsoset a new school record in the process. The boys’ team ended up a record high 8thplace, too.Ryan Leneghan, Christian Fetterhoff, JoeGreiner,BridgetDooling, Madi Crognale, Deanna Battis, Katie Cooper, Staci Schaffling, B. J. Clune, ShannonBattis, and Shannon Connors also participated and record at least one best time.
John Tyler “JT” Capps, Klinger’s 2012 Spelling Bee Champion for winning a hard-fought victory over Rebecca Bonar to capture the title. Accolades also go to Shania Gatton, Jackson Foster, Matthew Ballow, Nick Carr, Emily Smith, Will Mieses, Lucas Gregory, Michelle Kriner, Josh Long, Joe Magro, and Tom Hinks, the other Klinger Spelling Bee finalists. JT now travels to Pennridge High School on March17 to compete in the Regional Finals.
McDonald-Davis Elementary School for collecting approximately twenty boxes of canned goods, baby formula, pasta, soup, spaghetti sauce, etc., that were donated to the Bucks Landing Food Pantry.
Jose Reyes, third grader at McDonald-Davis Elementary, whose art work was selected to be exhibited at the Bucks County Intermediate Unit for the current school year. Jose is one of only nineteen students in the Bucks County area to be chosen for this honor.

NewJersey/Delaware EPA at the IAQ National Symposium in Nevada on March 3-7, with an updated version of the presentation given at PSBA's School Leadership Conference. The objective was to explore ways businesses and schools can save money through increased productivity and improved performance as a result of improving Indoor Air Quality. The revised presentation featured Centennial School District's new "green cleaning" equipment now in use at William Tennent High School.
