1 Assessment of this unit standard can be by simulation and/or observation.

Outcomes and evidence requirements
Outcome 1
Compile tender and contract documentation for a building project.
Evidence requirements
1.1 Documents are assembled and integrated for the tender process or contract formation that covers the proposed contract.
Outcome 2
Invite, accept, and select tenders for a building project.
Evidence requirements
2.1 Opportunities for tender are invited that meet project requirements.
2.2 Tenders are analysed and compared, and the basis for selection is established that meets project requirements.
2.3 Tenderers selected meet project requirements, and quotations submitted for specific contracts are checked to ensure that the requirements of the brief are met.
2.4 Selected tenderers are notified and appointed in accordance with the contract conditions.

Interpret forms of construction contracts to tendering situations for a building project.
Range may include but is not limited to the following contract forms - New Zealand Institute of Architect's General Conditions of Contract, NZS 3910: 1987 Conditions of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction, Master Builders' Federation General Conditions of Contract, industry standards.

3.1 Forms of construction contracts are analysed for content and project applicability, and sections are applied to the tendering process.
