58 Squadron Order of Dress

This chart will provide direction as to which uniform is to be worn on the upcoming parade night. The date and uniform code will be posted at the top of the announcements page

C1 / Full Dress Uniform with medals used on ceremonial civic parades, CO’s Parades and as otherwise instructed
C2 / Full Dress Uniform without medals, used for regular Tuesday evenings and as otherwise instructed
C3 / Summer Dress is uniform minus Jacket and Tie
C4 / Work Dress is T-Shirt, Pants, Belt, Wedge Cap, Boots and Socks
58a / Same as work dress except use Sqn T-Shirt with emblem
Parka / Parka to be worn in inclimate weather and as otherwise instructed

Power Familiarization Flights Schedule

The lists below will allow for each cadet listed to get a minimum of 1 half hour flight with the possibility of a 2nd flight that day. Once the flight schedule commences an additional date will be posted to allow those cadets who only got 1 flight to get their second flight.

Make sure you eat before you come. Snacks will be provided but you will not be fed a meal.

If for any reason you can not make the date selected you must contact Mr Heyman at as soon as possible before your flying date.

SQUADRON UPCOMING EXERCISES

FTX WITH 851 SQUADRON

Cadets are to arrive on Saturday October 21 at Thompson Drill Hall at 6:00am for kit check. You must have all the items listed on the kit list. If 1 item is missing you will not be able to go.

Bus will depart TDH at 7:00am Sharp for the FTX.

Cadets are required for the Advanced party( Sgts and above only) Please see LT. Parkinson on Tuesday Night. For the Cadets that have been assigned Classes the Advanced party is mandatory

58 FTX Equipment List

REQUIRED – KIT WILL BE CHECKED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE

Wearable Large Sturdy Kit Bag Lined with Garbage bag/waterproof bag (Often you may have to hike a distance to get to the camp site from the road)

At least

- 4 pairs of underwear

- 4 pairs of sport socks

- 4 pairs of wool socks

- 3 pairs of pants (no jeans)

- 3 t-shirts

- 1 long sleeve shirt

- 1 Warm sweater

- Sleep Kit (sleep wear(pajamas), pillow(portable/inflatable), small blanket

- Hat

- Toque

- Gloves (2 pair)

- Jacket

- 1 pair warm waterproof boots (preferable not rubber boots)

- Hiking boots

- Rain gear

- Note pad and pen/pencil

- Flashlight and extra batteries

- All personal toiletries (Toothbrush, toothpaste, facecloth, soap, hairbrush/comb, hand towel, deodorant, wet wipes,etc)

- Water bottle and non-glass mug

- Chap Stick and Foot Powder

-basic first aid kit (Band-Aids, alcohol wipes, Polysporin)

- HEALTH CARD

- Sleeping bags provided

- Cell phones will be confiscated and held in safe keeping, and used for calls to parents only.

- Cameras are permitted at cadets / parent’s discretion. (Squadron is not liable)

- The weather may be cold and wet; cadets are encouraged to bring any additional clothing to suit the weather.

MEDICATION

Personal medication will be kept with the cadet, however CI Dennis must be notified of all medications and will supervise such use.

This includes all prescription and non-prescription medication (including Tylenol, etc.)

Cadets with asthma will be required to keep their inhaler on them at all times.

Cadets with bee allergies will be required to keep their ana-kit/epi-pen on them at all times.

Roll call of all spooks will be 18:45 with festivities getting underway at 19:00. This will be an early evening so your Spooktacular parental units can pick you up at 20:30 hours.

Treats will be available at each of the offices as they are manned by the ghosts of officers past….

Dress for the evening : Your favorite ghost, goblin, historical figure, - really anyone you want to be. There might even be a prize for best costume….
