Qatar Airways proudly announces a significant network expansion of 14 new destinations, spread across four continents. The new routes will further expand the reach of the airline’s network, and will include the world’s longest flight, between Doha and Auckland, New Zealand.

Passengers traveling from Canada will be able to seamlessly to connect to the destinations below:

  • Four flights per week between Doha and Windhoek (Namibia) will begin on 28 September.
  • Daily scheduled service to the Seychelles will resume on 12 December.
  • Daily service to Auckland – Qatar Airways’ first route to New Zealand will begin on 3 December.
  • Four flights per week to Krabi (Thailand) on 6 December

The introduction of the new destinations comes two years after the opening of Qatar Airways’ hub, Hamad International Airport. The airport, one of the most technologically advanced modern airports in the world, serves more than 28 million passengers annually – and is set to grow up to 50 million in 2018.

The airline’s latest brand campaign theme ‘Going Places Together’ is reflected in the redesign and activities, with the focus on bringing travellers closer together

We look forward to welcoming you and your passengers onboard Qatar Airways for a truly rewarding experience.

WestJet has launched new service between Toronto and Boston, the newest addition to the airline’s ever growing network.

The new service, which launched recently with flight 3600, will operate three times daily on WestJet Encore’s fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft. According to Ferio Pugliese, President of WestJet Encore, this marks the airline’s “first trans-border route and represents another step in the growth and evolution of WestJet Encore.”

In addition to providing Canadians with access to Boston, Pugliese notes that the service gives Bostonians heading north the opportunity to connect with WestJet’s ever expanding Canadian and European networks.

In less than three years, WestJet Encore has gone from two aircraft and 10 daily departures to 28 aircraft and over 130 daily departures serving 33 cities including Boston. This June, WestJet Encore will also launch service to Nashville, Tennessee

Jet Airways news

SOF - daily connection via AMS, compare to 4 x week last season. Supported by the advertisement in Bulgarian Flame (check Starsky’s stores)

WAW – excellent connection daily, very competitive price at present time. Huge market, despite non-stop, connections by 2 carriers, still a lot of overflow potential. Supported by the advertisement in Wiadomosci (yesterday delivered to Starsky’s stores )

TLV – new connection with EL AL

Baltic Republics – RIX, VNO, TLL. Small market but excellent connections with Air Baltic. Air Baltic introduced direct flights VNO-AMS-VNO and TLL-AMS-TLL in addition to already operating flight RIX-AMS-RIX. All of them connecting Jet Airways transatlantic. In most cases the shortest connection from Canada.

United Airlines, Understanding domestic fare combinability rules
Multiple U.S. carriers recently made changes to the CAT10 domestic combinability fare rules impacting some one-way fares.
  • Non-refundable one-way fares will only allow customers to travel either on a one-way itinerary or a round-trip (to return back to the origin city e.g., A -> B -> A type combination).
  • Combinability restrictions prevent "sum of sector" pricing of multi-city itineraries.
  • Most legitimate open jaw and circle trips will now auto-price on a single ticket. Certain itineraries that previously priced using a single ticket will now require two or more tickets.
  • As this change is in the fare rules, it applies across all channels, including united.com and GDS providers. Please note that although the GDS supports pricing of these itinerary types, current online booking tool (OBT) functionality may not support all itinerary type pricing requests.
Note that refundable fares may still be booked as end-on-end and are not impacted by these combinability restrictions. Many international fare rules already carry combinability restrictions.
What is sum of sector pricing?
Sum of sector pricing is when multiple fare types are combined in order to price a fare lower than the available path (O&D) fare. Under the new combinability rules, this ticketing behavior is more restricted. An example of sum of sector pricing is below in black, while the path fares are in blue.

How do the new combinability rules work?
  • EWR-LAX returning on SFO-EWR would be allowed on a single ticket (returns back to origin city).
  • EWR-LAX, LAX-SFO returning SFO-EWR would be allowed on a single ticket (returns back to origin city).
  • EWR-ORD returning ORD-LGA would be allowed on a single ticket (returns back to origin city, even though it is a different airport). ORD-LGA returning EWR-ORD would work as a single ticket as well.
  • EWR-LAX, LAX-DEN returning DEN-LGA would be allowed on a single ticket (returns back to origin city, even though it is a different airport).
  • EWR-LAX then LAX-EWR followed by EWR-IAH would not be allowed (origin and end point are different cities - this is seen as two trips). Another example of this would be flying EWR-LAX, then LAX-SFO, and ending with SFO-IAD.
Can PNRs be built with multiple tickets?
Although the United system does support multiple tickets in the same record, please visit united.com/agency for an overview of possible consequences of doing so.

Robyn, Mary Beth,

On behalf of Team Quebec, I want to take this opportunity to thank you both for your cooperation and assistance in planning our flight bookings and stay for Digby NS and the Canadian Senior Curling Championships. Your help and advice has simplified the arrangements for everyone concerned including our spouses. For the coming weeks, our team is able to direct our concentration on our game preparations in order that we can represent our Province well and hopefully come out on top at the end of the week.

Again thank you both for everything.

Team Quebec

Good morning Dwayne!

I just wanted to send you a quick note because I sent your contact info to Gil Kim. Gil is a new Director in Player Development (minor league department). If he reaches out it will be to book flights for himself and possibly his wife (for Spring Training). That said, most of his flights if not all will be billed to the minor league account. He’s new to the organization and like I said I sent him your info because you’re awesome!

Have a great day.

Thanks,

Megan

Comments / My way-back trip was cancelled due to Brussels attacks last 22nd March and the team provided an excellent support with identifyi! ng alternatives and providing the needed information before travelling back home. Considering I was in meetings with hardly any time to follow up with airlines about my rellocation into another flight, the team's support was unvaluable - and I managed to leave the country as planned. I can only say million thanks!
