I have edited the SQL files to now include the current cost of the parts in part 1 (completed delivery lines) and that will show in the “ofl – part 1” documentation. I have attached the improved SQL file here if you would like to run it yourself. The changes are in “part 1” and in the documentation for “ofl – part 1”.
If you would like me to run these SQLs and put together the documentation I can do that too. Just let me know when the training database is refreshed and ready. Thank you.

Yes - I guess it could be on the report, I was thinking columns on the results of Laura’s query though. Just something that you can tie the before and after together.

Is there a way to show the detail of the delivered not invoiced report and have a column showing what the cost in inventory would be? If that ties to the difference at least I can have documentation of what happened.
Hi Scott – could you expand a little on what you are requesting?“What the cost in inventory would be?” Since you use NET as the cost basis, the cost on the order would be what the cost was at that point in time. Do you mean, add a column to the Delivered not invoiced with the CURRENT cost of the part (as in today, not what it was at that time)?

We looked at the report and we understand what you were trying to accomplish here but unfortunately it’s not an apples to apples comparison. One main reason is with the change in cost. These parts were delivered at a certain cost and once they are put back into inventory then they will take on the new cost in your system. I spot checked a few parts from the documentation I provided earlier and can show you what I mean here.
DON P167185cost was: 198.33cost now: 199.89
VOE 11171717cost was: 164.59cost now: 177.21
VOE 14539978cost was: 34.80 cost now: 36.35

I am running the stock status report and the delivered not invoiced report. My thinking is that the difference between a stock status before and a stock status after your sql should be the parts on the Delivered not Invoiced report. But it’s not. Below are the parameters for both reports – I am changing is the periods/dates.

4 & 5 – I think I may know what the issue is here. I put quantity in wait for the bin for completed delivery records but I didn’t for the allocated records. The allocated records are significantly less so that makes sense with the small differences. Attached is the modified SQL file. The directions say to put everything in wait for all scenarios but somehow I didn’t do that. I set all allocations to 0 but didn’t move them to wait. Please try now.
Here’s the change (lines 89, 90) –
update psk set psk_q_call = 0, psk_q_to_pic = 0, psk_q_to_del = 0, psk_q_cwait = psk_q_cwait + #tmp4.opl_q_all
from #tmp4 where psk.pmf_id = #tmp4.pmf_id and psk.pro_id = #tmp4.pro_id and psk.bra_id = #tmp4.psk_bra_id and psk.dpr_id = #tmp4.psk_dpr_id and psk.psk_id = #tmp4.psk_id and psk.psk_stktype = #tmp4.psk_stktype

2 & 3 –
Example 1 – W6207130, part 943475, line 100 shows 1 ordered, 1 invoiced on the main line (ofl). It shows as a completed delivery line on the delivery ticket (opl). It is not in the invoice table at all. I fixed the main line so that it shows as ready to be invoiced and it will now be picked up in the process that you run.
Example 2 – W4417466, part 15147900, line 10 shows 1 ordered, 1 lost on the main line (ofl). It shows as a completed delivery line on the delivery ticket (opl). Which is it? Is it lost and I need to delete the allocation line in opl? Or is it on a delivery ticket and I need to clear out the lost quantity?
I still have to look at 4 & 5.

Hi Laura,
I ran this yesterday on the refreshed test system (same database snap shot you worked on). I have 5 screen shots bellows.
1)First screen shot – why is it returning LUBE TRUCK ? Just ok to ignore?
2 & 3) Both FCE and PJM had one work order on the Delivered not invoiced report that still showed a part on it after the query ran?
4 & 5) Comparing the Stock Status report from before the data update and after gives a difference that I would have thought would be the amount of the parts on service from the Delivered not invoiced report. They are sort of close but there is still a significant difference – why?
Thanks,
Scott

The purpose is to limit or eliminate any problems in the final run that you will do on production. The more examples we can put into this test run the closer we get to that goal. Also, I will be documenting all before and after values on the training database so if there are any issues you will have that documentation to reference and again, the more examples in that documentation the better your position in researching any issues. Hopefully you won’t need any of it but that is what it’s there for and that is why we do this. Ultimately, it’s up to you.

Hi Scott,
Attached is an agreement for the requested work to put in progress parts on work orders back in stock.
We can have it completed no later than Sept 16. When it is ready, we’d request a current copy of production be saved as training or test. Laura would then run it in the test and give you the before/after records so you can do validation of the changes.
Then she can give you the SQL so that you can run it at the appropriate time for conversion/go live.
If you have any questions or concerns about the approach or ASA please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Also – the Health Check is a scheduled task running on the database server. You can run that at any time.
