Clip ‘n Climb

Today I am going to a place called Clip ‘n Climb for a play.

Clip ‘n Climb looks like a big playground with lots of climbing walls and equipment.

When we go inside we will need to line up at the counter to buy tickets and get a special wrist band.

When I look around I might see lots of bright colours and flashing lights and things to play on.

There are three different zones: The Cheeky Monkey Climbing Zone, The Sky Railand the Clip ‘n Climb Arena.

Mum and Dad will tell me where I can play. If mum and dad say I can’t go on all the zones that is ok because there are lots of other fun things to do.

Before I can start to play there are some things I will need to do.

First I will need to put on a wrist band.

If I don’t want to wear the wrist band on my arm, that is ok. Mum or dad can help me find somewhere else to put it or they can hold onto it for me.

Next I will need to put on a special harness so I can climb the walls safely.

If I don’t like the feeling of the harness that is ok. I can play on the cheeky monkey climb instead. I don’t need to wear my harness to play on the cheeky monkey climb.

Once my harness is on I will need to listen carefully to an instructor who will tell me the rules and teach me how to use my harness safely.

If I forget the rules it is ok because mum and dad will be there to help me.

When I go in to climb there are lots of different walls to choose from.

I need to remember that only ONE person can climb a wall at one time. If I want to climb a wall someone else is using I need to WAIT for them to finish before it is my turn.

If someone is climbing the wall I want to climb, that is ok. Maybe I can choose a different wall and come back to this wall when the other person has finished.

If I get tired or I need a break there are rooms that I can go to where I can calm down and relax.

Playtime at Clip ‘n Climb is usually only 1 hour. When it is time to stop I willhear need to come down from the wall.

I will need to take my harness off and put it in the specaial bin with all the others. Then I can walk out to car with mum and dad and go home.
