Annual Report 2014-2015
The Thai - Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA) aims to promote trade and investments between Thailand and Hong Kong and to provide for THTA Members to meet, exchange their views on their problems and networking with each other.
THTA is a member of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce (JFCCT) which has 30 chambers of commerce and business associations representing over 10,000 companies in this wide membership. The mission of JFCCT is to promote trade and foreign investment, encourage skills development and transfer with the overall aim of contributing to the economy. JFCCT groups all the power of the foreign communities in order to have more negotiation power with Thai Government. There are a number of specialist Committee group in JFCCT such as AEC, ICT, Tourism and Education and THTA have the representative in these JFCCT Committees.
Besides, THTA is also the member of the Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT) which supports their members for the following tasks.
1. Cooperation with Governmental Sector in relation to Economic and Trade Development
2. Supporting and Promoting Business Operations of the Private Sector

Since last year’s AGM, the Board of Directors has been actively promoting the Association both internally and externally. We consider it to be a successful year.
Members
Thai Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA) has 57 corporate members of total 114 Representatives from our Corporate Members and 56 Affiliate members of total 113 members and 170 Representatives from both Corporate and Affiliate Members.
Comparing last year, THTA had 56 Corporate Members with 112 Representatives from Corporate Members and 47 Affiliate members of totally 103 Members and totally 159 Representatives from both Corporate Members and Affiliate Members.

3. Development of THTA
3.1 Services to Members
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2014
On April 29, 2014 (Tuesday); Thai - Hong Kong Trade Association will organize the Annual General Meeting No. 1/ 2014 (AGM) at The Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn. THTA President will present the annual report 2013 and THTA Treasurer will present the financial statement of 2013 for approval. Nomination and Election of the new Board of Directors for the year 2014 – 2015 will be done at the AGM.
DELICIOUS CANTONESE DINNER 2014
On July 9, 2014 (Wednesday); Thai – Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA) organized the Delicious Cantonese Dinner 2014 which was held at Ah Keng Abalone Restaurant. It would be a valuable occasion for networking together with THTA members and guests in a nice and relaxing atmosphere with delicious Cantonese food. The event was well attended by 90 members and guests including our valued sponsors. In the function, Mr. Danny Yu, President of THTA made the Association’s presentation, Introduce the new Board of Directors and also new members to all THTA members and guests.
“THAI ECONOMY AFTER THE REGIME CHANGE” BY DR. JINGJAI HANCHANLASH
On August 15, 2014 (Friday); Thai – Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA), Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Loxley PCL. jointly organized the Business Dinner Talk 2014 under the theme “Thai Economy After The Regime Change” which was held at Loxley. The Talk was delivered by Dr. Jingjai Hanchanlash, Director of Loxley. The event was attended by 32 members and guests from THTA side.
THE 185TH THAICC LUNCH MEETING 2014
On August 19, 2014 (Tuesday); It was THTA’s turn to co-organize the 185th ThaiCC Lunch Meeting with other Associations at ThaiCC Tower. We had THTA President, some Directors and the Regional Director – SEA and India of HKTDC to represent on behalf of THTA. In the function, Mr. Danny Yu made a speech after that, THTA also invited Ms. Dannie Chiu, Regional Director – SEA and India of HKTDC to make a presentation on the topic “Hong Kong, HKTDC and Overseas Chinese Businessmen”
THE MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL 2014
On September 8, 2014 (Monday); Thai-Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA) and Hong Kong Ladies Group (HKLG) jointly organized the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival 2014 at Siam at Siam Design Hotel and Spa. The event was well attended by 80 members and friends of THTA and HKLG to celebrate under the beautiful full moon with an International Buffet Dinner , Wine, Live Music and some traditional Chinese Mooncakes from Hong Kong.

On September 25, 2014 (Thursday); Thai – Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA), Singapore – Thai Chamber of Commerce (STCC) and Malaysian – Thai Chamber of Commerce (MTCC) jointly organized the Sing-Ma-Kong Pre-Dinner Special Presentation & Joint Chamber Networking 2014 under the topic “Best Practices in Supply Chain” by Frost & Sullivan which was held at Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn. The event was well attended over 180 members and guests of three Chambers including our valued sponsors.
