Welcome to the Pride of Piedmont Family!
As your child becomes part of the Pride of Piedmont, we would like to welcome you and your family to our family. It truly takes a family of many to make our band as successful as we have been over the years. We all stay busy from the end of July until well into November.
We rely on each other to accomplish our overall mission, which is to support our kids and the band. This support may mean something as simple as bringing in food or drink items so the kids can eat prior to a competition or game, helping serve the meals, volunteering as a chaperone to help ensure safety while we travel, or even helping the Pit Crew setup for each performance. The volunteer needs of the band are great. While these opportunities may seem great and appear daunting, by working together we all benefit by spending time with our kids as they grow and making memoriesalong sidethem. Often our parent volunteers receive an added bonus by making long last friendships with other the parents along the way.
In the following pages, we have put together some basic information about the band to include schedules of competitions, practices, and basic terminology. We have also listed contact information for the Band Boosters’ Executive Members, various Committee chairs, and some basic duties of each officer or chair. If you have any questions about anything, please reach out to one of us, we were all new band parents too. The website ( is a great source of information as well and is updated on a regular basis.
Once again welcome to the Band Family, we hope to see you often!
