INVITATIONAL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1. Registration deadline is Friday, 5:30 p.m., one week prior to tournament, unless stated otherwise.

2. Teams are registered on a first-come, first-served basis with payment. If tournament capacity is

reached, teams will be placed on a waiting list.

3. Teams must be registered with ASA/USSSA at time of registration.

4. Entry fee and signed ASA/USSSA roster must be submitted at time of registration.

5. Entry fee refunds will not be granted after the registration deadline.

6. Team classification (upper/middle/lower) will be determined after registration based on best split for competitive balance – requests not guaranteed.

7. Teams who win a tournament, or place in two (2), are subject to being moved up.

8. A player may be on only one (1) team’s ASA/USSSA tournament roster within a division (Men’s/Women’s/Co-ed).

9. Players must adhere to their team’s class (C/D/E). Exception - can play up, but not down.

10. A team is permitted to temporarily pick-up a maximum of three (3) players, by use of a pick-up player form (must be submitted to tournament director prior to start of first game), under the following conditions:

·  Pick-up player must be an eligible roster member from an ASA registered team in local association (Idaho) and no longer eligible for Championship play (cannot be from a team that has qualified for Nationals).

·  Pick-up player cannot come from a team in a class higher than that of the highest class in your division. Example: If you are playing in a Co-ed division with teams classified C4-C7, pick-up player cannot come from a C1, C2 or C3 team.

·  Pick-up player’s legally registered team is not participating in same tournament.

11. ASA players are limited to one (1) roster change for the year.

12. ASA players must be registered with their district commissioner by July 1.

13. There shall be no player transfers or additions to team rosters after July 1 (August 15 for new fall rosters).

14. Roster changes may be cause for reclassification.

15. Rosters of teams which have qualified for championship play prior to July 1 shall be official.

16. For BPR sponsored tournaments, teams may pick up the schedule/brackets at the City Recreation Office, 110 Scout Lane, after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the tournament or download them from our website at www.cityofboise.org/parks/activities.
