Administrator (Part-time - 17.5 hours per week)

Community Law & Mediation Limerick is seeking to appoint a part-time Administrator (17.5 hours per week) on a fixed term contract of twelve months.

The ideal candidate will have a third level and/or secretarial qualification, strong administration and IT skills and experience ofworking within a team.The candidate will also need to have the ability to work on their own initiative as and when required and under guidance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work within and liaisebetween professional and support staff across CLM’sorganisational structure.

Duration:Fixed term contract of twelve months.

Salary: € 23,779 pro rata (€11,889) per annum.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9.30-1 (17.5 hours per week). Some flexibility may be required from time to time.

Location:CLM Limerick, Limerick Social Service Centre, Henry St, Limerick.

Background information

Community Law & MediationLimerick was established by CLM in 2012in response to representations made by Limerick-based community representatives and activists to address the very significant unmet legal need, primarily within the regeneration communities.

CLM Limerick providesfree legal advice in its outreach clinics. It also provideslegal representation and advocacy, including Court and Tribunal Representation, in areas of law which have been identified as having the greatest need i.e. housing and social welfare law.

CLMLimerick’s offices are in Limerick Social Service Centre, Henry Street, Limerick.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

Duties:

  1. Secretarial/administration support to Solicitors and Community Law & Mediation Limerick;
  2. Audio/Dictation Typing
  3. Photocopying and preparing briefs
  4. Filing
  5. General File Management
  6. Diary Management
  1. Case Managementdatabase data entry;
  2. Logging all calls and enquiries onto the case management database
  3. Ensuring all general advice sheets are entered correctly and on time onto the case management database
  4. Ensuring all clinic advice sheets are entered correctly and on time onto the case management database
  5. Running Statistics Reports for Board meetings and as an when required
  1. Post In/Out
  2. Opening, scanning post into case management system, distribution of same and ensuring the all post out is recorded and sent as required.

  1. Any other secretarial, administrative or office duties as may reasonably arise from time to time.

Required

  1. Relevant third level and/or secretarial qualification and experience in administration;
  2. Experience of office/team environment;
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills;
  4. Strong organisational and time management skills;
  5. Experience in maintaining high administrative standards;
  6. Excellent IT skills including MS Office and experience of using databases.

Desired

  1. Experience within a legal office and/or
  2. Experience in the human rights and/or in the community and voluntary sector
