Dear Friend,

I believe in rewarding people who are willing to take risks.

That’s why I have spent the last few months growing an organization that you may have heard about–The Los Alamos Venture Accelerator, or LAVA.

The purpose of LAVA is to create a thriving culture of entrepreneurship… here in Los Alamos. We can broaden our economic base by training more entrepreneurs and giving them our full support when they launch their startups.

I’ve been working with the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation to develop a system to teach all the steps of starting a business–LAVA is that system.

The future of our town depends on people starting and growing businesses

The lab will always play a huge role in the economy of Los Alamos. But wouldn’t it be great to have more things to do in town, more places to eat and more businesses to bring money into the community?

Great businesses are what make Los Alamos a good place to live. You can make the community a better place to live simply by investing locally.

I’ve been working with a small group of people who have great ideas. They need your economic support right now.

They’re all enrolled in my class, Financing the Entrepreneurial Enterprise. The purpose of the class is to teach people how to get the money they need to bring their idea to the market place.

I’m very proud of all of my students, and want to tell you about their business ideas.

They’re raising funds by reaching out to their friends, family and the community. That’s why I’m writing to you today. Please consider investing in one of their campaigns.

Check out new local businesses.

If any of these ideas sound like something that would make our town a better place, make a contribution.

Two easy ways to contribute

1. Visit and make a donation online.

2. Use the enclosed order form. Just choose the business that you want to support and write the amount that you want to give next to the business. Write out a check and send it to us using the business reply envelope.

We appreciate any contribution that you can make. Small donations and support from the local community can make a big difference for an aspiring startup founder. Even small amounts, like $10, $25 or $35 can help these business owners get their businesses started faster.

Sincerely,

Nik Seet

Founder of The Los Alamos Venture Accelerator

P.S. Whether you donate today or not, I invite you to get entrepreneurship news by typing lava.guru into your browser and adding your email to our newsletter list.
