The reference year 1995 if was given the score 1 for all fishing strategies, and numbers in later years denote relative changes, where negative numbers means more strictly regulated. See also (Hentati-Sundberg and Hjelm 2014)

Fig S2. Prices in SEK*kg-1 in 2011 values. Species are sorted by average price for all years, from highest to lowest. Species names refer to official species codes, see Appendix 1, Table S1 for common and scientific names. The y-axes start at 0. Long ticks are 10 SEK*kg-1 and short ticks are 1 SEK*kg-1.
Fig S3. A graphic explanation of the calculation of the diversity in the link between fishing tactic and target species (redundancy). This graph explains the redundancy calculation using the catch of eel in two years. The solid colored lines show the cumulative catch of eel for each fishing strategy in 2003 and 2006, respectively (totally 18, only up to 14 shown in the graph). The solid black line shows the cut-off value for the total catch of eel for which the redundancy was calculated. The point at the x-axis where the cumulative catch and the cut-off level intersects is the redundancy calculated for a certain species a certain year. A higher number (such as in the red line) means that more fishing strategies were involved in fishing a certain species. In this example, slightly more than one fishing strategy represented 80 % of the catch in 2003, whereas for 2006, slightly less than 3 fishing strategies caught 80 % of the catch. Thus, redundancy for this species increased between these years. Different values of y cut-off were tested and the results were similar.
