CP Algebra IB - Unit 3
Quadratic Equations and Functions
Homework Assignments /

Think about:

·  How do we generate a graph from a function?

·  What does it mean to solve a quadratic equation?

·  How do we choose the best method to solve a quadratic equation?

·  How can quadratic functions be used to model real-world problems?

We will be using the graphing calculators a lot in this unit – bring yours every day! There will also be some graphing by hand – graph paper will be provided for your homework if you don’t have any. Before graphing any function, make a table of at least 5 points – the vertex (minimum or maximum) and at least 2 points on either side.

To study well for a quiz or test, it’s a good idea to review your notes and homework problems (especially those you did incorrectly at first!). In addition, you really need to pick up a pencil and actually do out practice problems.
