Requirements:
1. You must be a member of an ELCIC congregation.
- You must be at least 16 years of age by the beginning of Camp 2017.
3. You must be recommended by your pastor.
4. You must participate in the Counsellor Training.
5. You must provide a criminal record check if applicable.
6. Preference (helpful but not essential): Previous participation in Confirmation Camp.
7. If you are an alumnus/alumna of Confirmation Camp, then you must not return to Confirmation Camp to serve as a Counsellor until one year has elapsed. To put it in more common terms: we want you to “take a break” for one year between the time you were a Confirmand and the time you will serve as a Counsellor.
If you wish to apply to be a Counsellor at the 2017 BC Synod Confirmation Camp, then please fill out the form below. Give the completed form to your Pastor, and remind her/him to complete Page 2 of this document.Your Pastor will mail the completed form.

A Confirmation Camp Counsellor should exhibit the emotional maturity so as to supervise teens ages 11-16, cooperate with adult staff, and be able to be flexible in responding to situations and expectations. In your experience, does this person exhibit such emotional maturity?
A Confirmation Camp Counsellor should be a person of faith, espousing the expression of Christianity taught in the congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. In your experience, does this person seem to have these characteristics?
