- A detailed professional knowledge of the Development Matters for the EYFS
- Thorough knowledge of assessment and review procedures in the EYFS
- A positive and effective approach to behaviour management
- A proven track record of effective parental engagement
- Understanding of National Curriculum and pedagogical issues in KS1 and KS2
- Experience of, and a commitment to, the delivery of a creative curriculum approach
- Experience of using ICT both in curriculum planning, assessment and teaching
- Knowledge and experience of applying a framework of curriculum planning which:
- includes long, medium and short plans
- identifies learning objectives for class, groups and individuals
- enables monitoring, assessment and recording of pupils’ progress
- An understanding of the responsibilities under the SEN Code of Practice
