SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Pre-qualify prospects and determine their eligibility for enlistment or reenlistment. Prepare in draft form, None Prior Service (NPS) enlistment packets and process prior service applicants for enlistment/reenlistment. Explain initial entry training (IET) requirements and the Selected Reserve Incentive Program and brief applicants on their test results and the pre-IET program. Conduct sales presentations/interviews to obtain enlistment's and reenlistments. Prepare or write speech outlines, and give speeches about the ARNG. Compile, maintain, and submit data and reports as required by procedures. Prepare and maintain prospect and center of influence cards and files and school program folders. Analyze the recruiting market and compile and maintain production data and results.

SPECIAL INFORMATION:

a. The soldier must be willing to relocate to local commuting area.

b. Member selected must have or be eligible for favorable NAC.

c. Must be able to complete 79T training within 180 days after entering Active Duty (NGR 601-2, para 5-4).

d. Individual selected must have a minimum score of 110 in aptitude area GT waiverable to 100 with a score of 100 in aptitude ST.

e. Be a high school graduate with diploma; or have 1 year college with a high school GED with no waiver.

f..Must meet physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of MOS in accordance with para 10-223.3, AR 611-21. A physical profile of 1-3-2-2-2-1.

g. Individual selected must perform all duties and complete required training outlined in the Position Description and/or appropriate regulations.

h. Member accepted for tour may be subject to permanent change of duty location within the State of Illinois.

i. Existing ARNG military promotion policies apply and additional Active Component schooling may be required on AGR tour.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

a. Must be Federally recognized member of the IL ARNG or eligible to acquire such status, and should have served for a minimum of 2 years in the Guard or Reserve.

b. Must be able to serve at least 5 years in an AGR status prior to becoming eligible to receive military retired pay or subject to mandatory removal. Must be able to accrue a minimum of 10 years active Federal Service. This requirement may be waived by NGB.

c. Must be medically qualified under Chapter 2, AR 40-501, and meet weight standards under AR 600-9.

d. Individual will be required to serve a minimum of 3 (three) years in the Recruiting Command.

Supplemental AGR Application for OPEN ANNOUNCEMENTS ONLY), copy of SF Forms 88 & 93/DA 2807-1 & 2808 from most recent periodic exam, photograph in class A uniform (made within previous 12 months) (Snapshot will do), certified copy of DA Form 2-1, copies of latest 5 OER/EERs, and a current copy of the ARNG Retirement Points Accounting System (RPAS), if not ARNG then a copy of DD 214 or DD 1506, BACKGROUND SURVEY QUESTIONNAIRE 79-2 OMB FORM 1386 (OPTIONAL), Copy of DA Form 705 (APFT Scorecard).
