Section 3 Prequalification Response Format

R-1 Roadway Inventory

Involving the collection of quality, geometric data such as: pavement widths, types and widths of median, number and widths of lanes, shoulder widths, pavement type, names and Global Positioning System (GPS) of roadway intersections and coordinates of all public roadways in NJ, which are collected to be incorporated into existing databases using a Standard Route Identification (SRI) format. This is established by the Bureau of Transportation Data Development and shown in the Department’s Straight Line Diagrams (SLD) but is available to customers in a tabular format. Digital video images along all state highways are collected to provide driver’s a perspective of roadway conditions and serve as a visual documentation to roadway inventory.
