ANALYSIS

Lab charges

Grant funded projects:

Standard lab charges are $1000 per 2-hoursession (excluding GST). Three pilots are provided at no charge once the project has received approval by the MEG Executive Committee. After the three pilots are completed, standard lab charges apply.

CCD nominated HDR students*

As part of the research training process, CCD nominated HDR students are still expected to budget $100 per session (excluding GST) from the research support funds provided by their Department. However, if the student had been budgeting their research costs appropriately and required additional MEG sessions, then they should request additional sessions be supported by the CCD, through the CCD Chief Operations Officer.

CCD projects*

The CCD endeavours to support and enable MEG research by CCD members. Therefore, if a study is a CCD project, led by a CCD member (Chief Investigator, Partner Investigator or Associate Investigator) and would be reported in the CCD Annual Report and published with a CCD affiliation/author by-line, the standard $1000 per session/usage cost (excluding GST), would not be charged for that study.

Please note: If a MEG study is proposed as part of a grant application, that incorporates project funding (e.g., ARC DP / NHMRC Project / HEARingCRC / MQRDG / MQRF / etc.), then that grant application is required to budget for, and if awarded to pay the applicable session/usage charges. In a situation where funding will not adequately cover the cost of proposed MEG sessions, then a request for support may be made through the CCD Chief Operations Officer;

Other costs

There are some costs that remain in order to conduct an MEG study (e.g., RA for the testing session, structural MRI scans and the participant reimbursement costs). In all cases, researchers should budget for these costs in addition to lab charges.

*Note: CCD MEG Lab Access Support rates forCCD students and projectsare available only for test session conducted before 1st January 2019.
