SEC’S SPOT!

As you will see this months issue is a little sparse and hasn’t got the usual articles due to my current workload and personal circumstances not to mention the continuing loss of my Internet access at home due to some technical reasons with Telewest Broadband. There should be enough information contained within these pages to keep you up to date with branch affairs until the usual service is resumed in due course. Touch wood (fingers brush forehead. Ed) all will be back to normal in the next few weeks when hopefully things slow down a little. Oh and if you note any ‘strange occurrences’ within this newsletter (little 2’s spring to mind as they are actually hyphens) it is due to a printer software error, formatting problems and not some dodgy typing by the editor (honest!).

The ‘on, off, on, off’ rumours of Darren Huckerby joining us on loan until the end of the season finally finished with an ‘on’ as he joined us on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move should we get promoted and what a promising start he has made scoring three goals in as many games.

After the 6-0 drubbing of Stoke and then the 4-1 win at Gillingham things have hit a ‘sticky patch’ with a late point at home to Grimsby and then a 1-0 defeat down on the south coast at Brighton and Hove Albion. Hopefully we can pick up all three points when we entertain arch rivals D**by County at the City Ground later this week.

Due to the change of date for the Wolves game, I am still presently talking to the Public Relations people at the City Ground to try and arrange for the draw to be made for the Forest Giant’s Limited Edition Print before this game. Watch this space!

Apologies to those people who have sent me in pictures and material for the newsletter to whom I promised that I would get their work into this issue but sometimes the clock doesn’t have enough hours in a day to enable me to fulfil my promises. I am sure and hope you all understand.

I would like to wish the following branch members a very ‘Happy Birthday’ Rachel Perera (27 March), Tim Poore (2 April) and Julian Snow (27 April).

Oh and please note that my mobile number on the inside back page is no longer valid but it was printed before I got my new number (The correct number is 07977 117963)

Until the next issue………..be good and keep the faith!

The Secretary 
