Introduction
Microsoft®Office Live Meeting 2007 is an online meeting space that enables people to collaborate in a variety of ways in real time from anywhere in the world. Organizations have two options for using Office Live Meeting: They can subscribe to the Office Live Meeting service, or they can host Office Live Meeting on Office Communications Server 2007.

Hardware and Software Requirements
The procedures in this document assume that you or another Office Live Meeting administrator will createseveral test accounts in Office Communications Server 2007. Throughout this document, this document refers to three test accounts: User1, User2, andUser3. To complete some of these tests, you will need the following for each test account:
- A phone connected to a standard PBX (to test Remote Call Control) and Microsoft Office Outlook® messaging and collaboration client
- An e-mail account
- A USB handset, microphone headset, or similar device
- A Web camera
In addition, you must make sure that all test machines meet the minimum hardware and software requirements to run the client software needed to connect to Office Communications Server 2007. If you have not already done so, read “Deployment Considerations” in Deploying the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 Client with Office Communications Server 2007.

Installing Client Software
Meetings held in Microsoft® Office Communications Server2007 are much like conventional meetings held in a conference room. Users can log on to a Microsoft Office Live Meeting conference room, schedule meetings, invite attendees to meetings, and perform other tasks in Office Live Meeting in one of two ways:
- By installing and using the Office Live Meeting client application: LMSetup.exe.
- By installing and using the Office Live Meeting Conferencing Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook®: ConfAddins_Setup.exe.
Installing the Office Live Meeting client
To install the Office Live Meeting Windows-based meeting client, your computer must meet the minimum hardware and software requirements for it, as listed below inTable 2.

Windows Media® technologies player, version 9 or later (version is checked when the meeting client starts) to view Windows Media content in the meeting.

2 The required and recommended bandwidth speeds are cumulative. For example, if you want to use voice, webcam, and Microsoft RoundTable, the minimum bandwidth would be 50+50+100=200 kbps.
To install the Office Live Meeting client directly over the Internet
Use the following procedure to install the Office Live Meeting clienton at least three computers so that you can test its features. Before you use the Office Live Meeting client, ensure that for each test computer, there is a corresponding test account set up in Office Live Meeting 2007.
1.Visit the Download the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client page:
2.At the bottom of the page, review the Microsoft Software License terms.
3.If you agree with the terms of the license agreement, click Accept Terms and Install Client.
4.Click Run.
Expected Result:The Office Live Meeting client will install itself without further intervention. To verify that it has been installed, click Start, and then click All Programs. Point to Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, and then click MicrosoftOffice Live Meeting 2007. The Office Live Meeting clientwill start. You will see the Office Live Meeting client, as shown in Figure 1.

Instead of running the Office Live Meeting client installer directly over the Internet, you can download it and then install the Office Live Meeting client.
To download and then install the Office Live Meeting client
1.Visit the Download the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client page:
2.At the bottom of the page, review the Microsoft Software License terms.
3.If you agree with the terms of the license agreement, click Accept Terms and Install Client.
4.Click Save, and saveLMSetup.exe to a folder on your local hard disk.
5.Double-click LMSetup.exe, and then click Run.
Expected Result:The Office Live Meeting client will install itself without further intervention. To verify that it has been installed, click Start, and then click All Programs. Point to Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, and then click Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007. The Office Live Meeting client will start.
To verify installation of the Office Live Meeting client
1.Click Start, and then click All Programs.
2.Point to Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, and then click Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007.
3.Click the title bar down arrowin the upper left of the meeting window, and then click Open User Accounts.
4.Under Server, type a sign-in name account information or verify that the sign-in name listed is correctin the Sign-in name box.
5.Click Test Connection, and then verify that your Office Live Meeting login information is installed. If you are using an account that has scheduling capabilities, the Welcome to Microsoft Office Live Meeting page contains a Meet Now button.
6.Click Meet Now, and then click Continue.
7.In the Office Live Meeting client, click Meeting, and then verify that the status is Connected.
8.In the Voice & Video pane, click Options, and then click Set Up Audio and Video. Use the wizard to select audio and video settings. Verify that you can use audio and video.
9.Click Content, click Share, and then click Upload File (View Only).
10.Select a document, click Open, and then verify that the file is added to the Office Live Meeting.
Expected Result:The features of the Office Live Meeting clientwork as described above.
Installing the Conferencing Add-In for Microsoft Outlook
This section describes how to install the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook. Using this add-in, you can do the following without leaving Microsoft Outlook:
- Schedule anOffice Live Meeting session in the same way that you schedule and invite attendees to other meetings, and define participants as attendees or presenters.
- Set meeting options.
- Schedule a conference call.
System requirements to run the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook
- Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server® 2003 Service Pack 1 or later, Windows Vista, Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
- Application Requirements: Microsoft Office Outlook 2002 with SP3 or later, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP1 or later, Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
To install the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook directly over the Internet
Use the following procedure to install the program on a client computer. You should install the Conferencing Add-in on at least three computers so that you can test its features. Before you use the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook, ensure that for each test computer, there is a corresponding test account set up in Office Live Meeting 2007.
