2015 Summer Encampment
Clothing and Equipment List
Upon arrival at encampment all cadets will have their entire gear searched by a staff member to make sure essential items are present and contraband items are confiscated.
Uniform items
- 2 complete BDU uniforms
- 1 BDU cap (absolutely no ranger rolls or squadron hats)
- 1 pair combat boots
- 7 black/brown crew neck t-shirts (no designs, no commercial logos)
- 7 pairs wool socks for boots
- 1 BDU belt with black buckle and tip
- 2 sets of boot blousing bands
- All CAP insignia
- 1 complete Class B (short Sleeve) Blues Uniform (or nice clothes, dark slacks and a button up shirt only if you have not yet received your Blues Uniform prior approval required from Encampment Commander, email )
- 1 Flight cap (with device)
- 1 pair Blues shoes (Low Quarters or Oxfords)
- 1 pair black socks
- 1 white, V-neck undershirt
- 1 Blues belt (blue belt with silver buckleand tip)
- Nameplate and all ribbons/attachments
PT gear and civilian attire
- 2 pairs PT shorts (black or navy)
- 2 civilian shirts (conservative)
- 1 pair sweatpants
- 7 pairs underwear
- 1 pair civilian shorts or pants
- 1 pair of tennis shoes
- 1 sweatshirt
- 3 brassieres (bras, female, minimum)
- 1 pair shower shoes/flip flops
Hygiene items
- Shaving kit
- Soap
- Shampoo
- Comb/brush
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Deodorant
- 2 bath towels
- 2 wash cloths
- Female hygiene items
Other equipment
- CAP ID card
- Sleeping bag with pillow
- Shoe shining kit
- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Bag for dirty clothes
- Canteen with cover
- Web belt for canteen
- Leather work gloves
- Sewing kit
- Insect repellent
- Sunscreen (SPF 15 minimum)
- Moleskin
- Pens, pencils, ruler and notebook with paper
- Band aids
Optional
- Hydration packs in lieu of canteen/web belt (i.e., CamelBak®; must be brown, black or camouflage; with or without built-in backpack)
- Iron and portable ironing board
- Compact camera (disposable type recommended)
- Cosmetics (female, conservative)
- 2 sports bras (female)
- 1 athletic supporter (males)
- Washing detergent (small amounts)
- CAP regulations (CAPM 39-1 Uniform Manual, etc)
Not allowed (will be confiscated on arrival)
- Radios, CD players, MP3 players, iPods, etc.
- Fans
- Alarm clocks
