Fire Safety Induction Program (FSIP)

All department and Community Service Organisations staff must complete the FSIP as part of their induction training program. Where possible, staff should be supported to undertake the E-Learning Option either during the induction program or at a time and place that suits them.

  1. E-learning option, There is three (3) hours allocated in the DAS Induction program for this learning.

Once staff successfully completes the online learning FSIP program, a Certificate of Completion is available to download, which staff must print and present at their first shift at a new location.

To access the certificate, staff must have viewed every page in the course and completed all activities and assessments. Once this has been completed, the notification ‘Certificate Awarded’ will appear on the ‘My Training’ page below the title of the completed course. Click on the ‘View Now’ link to view and print the certificate. (Staff must have Adobe Acrobat reader to view the certificate)

Divisions are able to run reports via the e3Learning Management System (LMS) to identify staff that have successfully completed the eLearning FSIP module. These results need to be entered on to SAP by the Divisional L& D team.

To gain administrative access rights to run reports, please nominate an L D staff member from your division to the CentreforL&

Note: Any staff member can refresh their skills by completing all or part of the e-learning FSIP program

  1. Face to Face session .A face to face option may be used for the FSIP training course where there are more than twenty (20) participants.

To organise a face to face training session, the divisional L & D consultants will need to email this request for training to the CentreforL&

  1. The request must state the date, location and number of participants in the course
  2. Staff are assessed during this 3 hour workshop.()
  3. The results of the assessment and a Statement of Attendance are sent to the Divisional Learning and Development Consultants.

d.  These results are entered by the Divisional L&D Team into SAP

A copy of their Certificate of Completion must be forwarded to the Divisional L&D team so that their result can be recorded into SAP.
