Forms are located in the vestibule by the cryroom door or on the website at www.stmaryardmoreok.org. Completed forms may be returned and placed in the lower tray. All forms must be returned by October 17, 2008.

Area teens & parents are invited to a special evening of clean comedy sponsored by the Pregnancy Resource Center. “The New TEEN Revolution” will take place on Sunday, September 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the Ardmore Convention Center. Keith Deltano uses clean comedy to empower TEENS to join in the new revolution: abstinence until marriage and fulfillment afterward. Admission is free.

YOUTH FAITH FORMATION:

Parents, please send a rosary with your child to class (grades 1st – 12th) each Sunday during the month of October so the rosary can be recited during each class period as October is "The Month of the Rosary". The Living Rosary will be recited in the parish hall on the last Sunday of the month. You are invited to take part in that activity.

A traveling trophy is being awarded to the class with the highest percentage of students in attendance at the beginning of class. There are 3 divisions: lower elementary, higher elementary and high school. So far we have had 3 classes with 100% attendance. The catechists really appreciate your effort in getting your child to class on time and the few absentees so far this year. You all are to be commended.

First Reconciliation/First Communion classes for parents and children are meeting in the 2nd grade classroom Sundays from 8:55 A.M. to 9:05 A.M. Karen Anderson is the catechist for the preparation of these sacraments. It is important that both the child and parents attend.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION:

Four different groups meet weekly on Sundays from 9:00 A.M. to 10:25 A.M. Every adult in St. Mary parish is invited and encouraged to attend.

TRUNK OR TREAT – NOVEMBER 1st.

Mark R your calendars to attend this fun event where parishioners can decorate their trunks or pick up beds for Halloween and the children can trick or treat from car to car. If any parishioners would like to donate candy or Halloween trinkets for the trick or treating, you may drop these off in the Halloween basket in the vestibule.

Come join us for prizes, food and fun!

Remember to check bulletin board in church for area events.

DATE CHANGE

Come celebrate the completion of the new parking lot with a Tailgate Party SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12th at 4:00 p.m. Food provided by: Men of St. Mary, Women of St. Mary, Boy Scouts, Youth Group, Thrift Shop, and the church. Bring your lawn chairs and join in the fun. Since the parking lot was not completed as expected and we did not want to rush the process, the date was changed to October 12th.

Ministry schedule for October will be available this weekend. Please remember to pick up your copy.

On October 4th–5th we will have a second collection for the “Hurricane Ike Recovery Fund”. A copy of the letter from the Archbishop of Galveston-Houston is inserted in this bulletin. Please be as generous as you can.

Tuesday, October 7th is our parish patronal feast, “Our Lady Queen of the Rosary”. It would be nice to come to the 5:30 p.m. Mass and recite the rosary afterwards begging the Lord’s blessings on our parish, people, and their relatives and friends.
