Job Description
As a member of Global Delivery IT team, you will be responsible for working withHewlett Packard Enterprise’s best in class technology. This includes traditional relational databases, emerging technologies, such as SAP-HANA, and predictive & prescriptive analytic platforms.
Areas of focus include:
- Engineering, designing, development,and deployment of next generation cloud solutions.
- DevOps - Working closely with business teams and stakeholders to rapidly deliver high quality services and solutions.
- Identification and development of automation and innovative solutions that solve class issues, improve the quality of the environment, and/or drive work out of the system.
- Direct ownership and accountability for the health ofindividual data systems. This includes both taking action before any potential issues arise and/or developing processes that detect early indicators of issues.
-Participates as a member of the Global Delivery team
-Drives both technical and process solutions based on business demands
-Ensures availability and performance of systems are optimal
-Works with multi-disciplinary teams to design and deploy best in class solutions
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
A technical or mathematical Bachelor's degree (e.g. Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Data Science/Statistics) or equivalent experience and a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience. As a college hire, in depth knowledge in any particular area of specialization is not expected. Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and conceptsis more imperative.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Strong computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, operating systems, database systems, object oriented systems design
- Strong mathematical and statistical background, including the ability to create predictive models and correlations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Object Oriented)
- 0-2 years of experience writing code using modern software languages (C#, Java, C/C++) -- Work on large scale projects with multiple developers is a plus
- Understanding of software frameworks such as J2EE and .NET is a plus
- Solid understanding of relational data modeling and database system (RDBMS) design
- Basic understanding of database administration and experience with modern databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Process and detail oriented
