Member Reimbursement for Professional Development Activities

HR Certificate Program (Joint Venture Between HRACC & Saint JosephCollege)

Benefit

50% of the cost of the course only (does not include books or materials). This reimbursement applies to the HR Professional Certificate Program with six courses.

Eligibility and Procedures

  • Must be an HRACC member in good standing for at least one year of membership
  • Prior membership will be counted if member rejoined with less than a one year break in service
  • Member does not receive reimbursement through employer or other financial means
  • HRACC will reimburse for up to two classes per 12-month period.
  • Reimbursement request must be accompanied by proof of payment by student, and certificate of course completion

Note: If a member attains one year of service prior to the course completion, they will be eligible for reimbursement. (Example: Member starts course in February, attains one year of service on March 15th and course ends in May. Member is eligible assuming other criteria are also met).

HRCI Exam (PHR, SPHR, GPHR)

Benefit

Reimbursement of $50.00 toward the exam fee only (excludes application and other fees).

  • Must be an HRACC member in good standing for at least one year of membership
  • Prior membership will be counted if member rejoined with less than a one year break in service
  • Member does not receive reimbursement through employer or other financial means
  • Reimbursement request must be accompanied by proof of payment
  • Limited to one payment per member per certification
  • Reimbursement is NOT dependent upon obtaining certification (in recognition of the fact that certification is often challenging and many members have not passed the exam upon their first try).

SHRM Learning System

(Effective July 1, 2007)

Benefit

Reimbursement of $100 for purchase of SHRM Learning System

Eligibility and Procedures:

  • Must be an HRACC member in good standing for at least one year of membership
  • Prior membership will be counted if member rejoined with less than a one year break in service
  • Member does not receive reimbursement through employer or other financial means
  • Reimbursement request must be accompanied by proof of payment
  • Limited to one payment per member
  • Reimbursement not applicable if HRACC sells the Learning System to the member at a reduced fee
