The Alliance for Senior Care Communities (SHAGR)in Rochester, NY is seeking an Executive Director to work closely and in collaboration with the CEO’s of the five member organization- Jewish Senior Life, St. Ann’s Community, St. John’s Home, Episcopal Senior Life, and the Friendly Home- to manage the start-up and evolution of an Individual Practice Association (IPA). Proven visionary leadership and partnership with CEO’s in achieving organizational vision and mission is required. The starting salary will be commiserate with experience and appropriate for an Alliance Executive Director who is both hands-on and at the center of building a start-up enterprise. In this dynamic role you will be responsible for working with CEO’s and staff members to develop and implement long-range strategic plans and short term contracts for product and services procurement, grant development, health care contracting, shared savings, and revenue and quality opportunities for the Alliance.
Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing an Individual Practice Association (IPA) for the Alliance
  • Providing leadership and accountability for the performance and results of multiple operational teams for the delivery of clinical programs including Case Management, Disease Management, Wellness Coaching, and Decision Support
  • Developing, translating, and executing strategies for a line of business or major portion of business segment functional area
  • Contributing to growth and profitability of Alliance members by ensuring programs that provide exceptional clinical value and medical cost management
  • Consulting Senior Leadership and healthcare consultants to identify innovative strategies and tactics for operational excellence
  • Owning all ongoing operational metrics, clinical outcomes, accreditation compliance and financial commitments

Job Requirements:

  • Related four year degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Five plus years of management in the health care field, preferably in an start-up or related non-profit organization with demonstrable metrics
  • Proven success is partnership with CEOs in achieving organizational vision and mission
  • Proven success in pursing and incorporating new cost containment and efficiency
  • Successful experience in grant development, data collection and analysis and contract negotiations
