Orientation Meeting

This meeting is especially useful for charities new to the CFC. It’s a chance for new charities to find out how things work and an opportunity for veteran charities to help plan the campaign. We’ll discuss ways to increase visibility by participating in various events such as LE training week, ACC trainings, and Charity Fairs. The meeting is scheduled to last approximately from 9 am to 11:30 am.

Campaign Executive Training Week Ice Breakers

LE training is scheduled the week of August 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m daily at 17 N. Wabash, Suite 670. Icebreaker Activities are held on Tuesday 8/4, Wednesday 8/5, Thursday 8/6 & Friday 8/7 from 8:30 – 9:00am. Three charities will each present a 5 minute icebreaker type activity ending with a 2-minute presentation about their organization. Charities are determined by lottery. To participate, check where indicated on RSVP form. Winners will be announced by email.

Charity Tour for Loaned Executives

The Charity Tour is one of the most important elements of LE Training. Tours allow LEs to see firsthand the services provided by various charities. This exposure not only deepens their understanding and compassion, it helps LEs prepare better campaign speeches with more effective selling points. Four agencies will be selected for the LE tour and each agency will have 40 minutes to explain what their organization does and how it benefits the community. Charity Tours are determined by lottery. To participate, check where indicated on RSVP form. Winners will be announced by email.

Charity Fair

The purpose of the fair is to introduce the LEs to as many charities as possible and to give the charities a chance to interface with the LEs before the start of the campaign. This is a tabling event, no speeches, no program.

ACC Training/Charity Fair

The purpose of the ACC Training is to train Federal Agency Keyworkers and Campaign Coordinators on how to conduct a successful CFC campaign. ACC training is also an excellent opportunity to introduce the Keyworkers and Coordinators to as many charities as possible before the campaign begins. Charities new to the CFC will want to attend both training sessions to gain as much visibility as possible.

Due to space limitations, charities will be required to share a table with another organization. Please do not bring oversize displays, large tri-folds, etc. Do prepare a short 1 minute speech and bring brochures/business cards, give-aways, etc. To participate, check where indicated on RSVP form.

As always, your participation and input is very important, not only to me but to the success of the campaign. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 312-994-5888 or .

Best of Luck in the Campaign,

Eriabee Chiles
