General description

This LED book light can be mounted on a book edge or placed on a flat surface such as a table.

It can be powered by 3 AAA batteries (not included) or by connecting the included USB cable to your computer or to the mains using a universal USB mains adaptor (not included).

Please note: This product does not contain a charging mechanism;therefore, the USB cable is provided solely as a power sourceconnection to a USB port such as a computer. During batteryoperation, do NOT attach the USB cable to item as it will cut-off DC batterypower.

Orientation

Hold the unit by the large rectangle, basepart. The large flat side forms the base and the battery cover.

On the top of the rectangle section is the clip. Press the clip section together to open the clip; release to close. When pressed, you will notice at the other end a plastic tab that rotates; this allows it to clip securely onto the desired item.

At the end of the rectangle, base part nearest where the arm extends out, is the round socket for when powering the unit via mains or computer is required.

Out of the rectangle protrudes the flexible arm; at the far end is the LED light. The on/off switch is a tactile dot located on the top side of the LED light.

Using the product

Remove all packaging from around the lamp andcable. Place in front of you.

Battery installation

Warning: Keep batteries away from children. If swallowed,promptly see a doctor. Do not install backwards,charge, put in fire or mix with other battery types – mayexplode or leak causing injury.

Batteries are available from RNIB. Batteries are not guaranteed.

Your LED book light can be powered by 3 AAA batteries(not included). With standard alkaline batteries, the light will operate approximately 72 hours. Light output willslowly diminish as the batteries lose energy.

To install batteries, slide the battery compartment door away from the stem while slightly depressing the door nearthe tab. Install the 3 batteries so the flat end (negative terminal) of each battery locates against a spring.

Replace the battery compartment door by laying it on the opencompartment and sliding the door towards the stem; this will engagethe tabs of the cover into the compartment.A click should be heard as itlocks into place.

Please note: Only replace batteries as a simultaneous setand do not mix with older batteries. Remove batteriesif consumed or if the light has not been in use for a longperiod of time.

Using the USB cable to power

To use the USB cable, connect the input,round connector into the socket of the LED book light. Connect the USB end to a USB power source e.g. computer USB port or your existing USB plug.

Using the clip

To mount or attach the light, open the clip by pressing the ridged section near the stem down. Insert theclip fully over and onto the appropriate edge andverify the body of the unit is held firmly onto the book. It is suggested and recommended that an appropriate edge will be thicker than 0.25 inches and lessthan 1 inch.

To position the LED light source simply bend the stemor flex-neck as needed to point the light. Please hold thebody while adjusting the flex-neck.

Warning: Do not force the flexible stem into any extreme positions asdamage may occur.

Turn the LED light onand off by using the power switch located on the front-upper side of the light section.

Using on a table or flat surface

Set the light’s body on a steady flat surface such as a table.

To position the LED light source simply bend the stem as needed to point the light. Please hold the body of the light while adjusting the flexible neck.

Warning: Do not force the flexible stem into any extreme positions asdamage may occur.
