Good Morning! May 13th2017

T.W.I.K. Notes

Graduation: We will have Kindergarten graduation on Wednesday May 24th at 6:30 PM in the gym. You will receive invitations with these details, but I wanted everyone to know now, so they can plan. Students will NOT return after graduation, so they do not come to school Thursday or Friday. Wednesday May 24th is the LAST day of school.

  • Students will not be provided graduation robes, so they are welcome to wear their Sunday’s Best.
  • Our class will be on the far edge of the gym.
  • Graduation should last no longer than an hour.
  • Students can be dropped off NO earlier than 6:15 in our room and there will be no admittance into the gym until 6:15. The doors will be locked until 6:15!

The Mio’s Limo ride is tomorrow, Wednesday May 17 for the students who qualified. They may be in redswear!

I am not sure when Sweetfrog will be, but I will let everyone know as soon as I know!

Redsfest will be on Wednesday May 17th

Friday May 19th is Grandparents Day! Grandparents may come to the classroom at 8:15, so they can go to Mass with their grandchildren. After Mass there will be cookies and milk followed by a show in the gym at 10am! For more details, please see the website!

This Friday May 19th the kindergarten will be having a picnic with their 8th grade buddies to say goodbye to them before they graduate. The 8th grade supplies all of the food as a gift from them and we wish them well on their high school adventure. The 8th grade will have their graduation on Tuesday May 23rd if you and your child would like to attend. It is a short simple ceremony of Vespers in church.

Your child will not need a lunch on Friday.

Also, On Thursday! Could you please send something for your students to change in to so I can take a graduation picture. It does not need to be what they are wearing for graduation, but something a little nicer than their uniform. If they have it in their bag, I will have them change into it for their picture and change out for the picnic. If they don’t bring a change of clothes, no worries, I will just take it in uniform.

Math

Simple Solutionswas sent home last Friday so you had an idea of what it is. Whatever we do not get to will come home, so you child can use it over the summer to help keep them sharp in math! This introduces a variety of material and helps the students get used to more of a typical math question.
