The Master of the Colorado District, Roger Muller, is honored to host an Exemplification of the Patriotic Degree on Sunday, May20, 2018atSt. Patrick Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Candidates who have achieved their Knighthood Degree and whose application has been approved by the Assemblyare invited to be elevated to the Patriotic Degree. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend the mass and banquet. Mass will be held following the exemplification at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.This Mass fulfills your Sunday obligation.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Registration, Coffee and food12:30 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Candidates in Antechamber 2:15 P.M. – 2:45 P.M.
Ladies Entertainment 2:15 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
Exemplification and Knighting 2:45 P.M. – 4:30P.M.
Celebration of Mass 5:00 P.M. – 6:15 P.M.
Reenactment of Knighting after Mass
Social 6:15P.M. – 6:45 P.M.
Banquet 6:45 P.M.
Honor Guards and Regalia:
Fourth Degree members are encouraged to attend. Sir Knights with Color Corps regalia are asked to participate in the Honor Guard forthe Exemplification, Mass and banquet. The new regalia is preferred but the old regalia, at this time, is authorized and encouraged to be worn if the Sir Knight does not own the new regalia.
Dress for Candidates & 4th Degree members:
Dress for candidates & 4th Degree members:Black or dark (blue or grey) business suit with black socks and black shoes, white dress shirt (no button-down collars or French cuffs) and tie. A black tuxedo is optional. But,if worn the tuxedo is worn with a white pleated tuxedo shirt with a lay-down collar (no ruffles or French collars) a black bow tie and cummerbund (no vests). We are honored to have active duty Military personnel and First Responders and encourage them to wear their dress uniform.
4th Degree members, Sponsors & Faithful Navigators:
Sponsors & Faithful Navigators should accompany their candidates. Do not allow a candidate to attend the degree alone.
Candidates must have a current third degree membership card in their possession as it will be checked. The celebration of Mass & the banquet are essential parts of the degree and all candidates and families are expectedand encouraged to participate in both.
Ladies Entertainment:
While Sir Knights are attending the exemplification and the candidates are being exemplified, the host assembly will be providing entertainment for the ladies in attendance. The ladies entertainment program is yet to be determined.
COST:
$70.00-fee for candidates: includes social baldric, lapel pin and a banquet ticket. Fee must accompany completed Form 4 "Fourth Degree Membership Document" and sent to registrar by date indicated.
Candidate’s Guests and other Attendees
$30.00–fee for each adult guest attending banquet. Payment for guests are to be included with the registration and sent to the registrar bythe deadline date indicated. Special needs are to be noted on registration requests.
$25.00–fee for each priest attending the exemplification.It is suggested that Assemblies should pay for any priest’s cost.
$15.00–feefor each child, ages 5-12 attending banquet. Under 5 is free.
Make all checks payable to "MASTER OF THE DISTRICT" and sent with completed Form 4 and registration form to the Registrar no later than May11,2018.
Banquet fees received are NON-REFUNDABLEafter deadline date. The Assembly should submit payment for all candidates and banquet guests. However, if registeredguests do not attend and the Assembly did not submit payment, the Assembly will be billed for the banquet fees.
***Important: Be sure Form 4is filled out in its entirety with particular notice to the following:
1. new member’s membership number & signature
2. proposer signature & membership number
3. has been certified by Financial Secretary of the applicant’s Council, and
4. signed by both Faithful NavigatorFaithful Comptroller of Assembly he isjoining
5. Do not remove any pages from Form 4, as host assembly will return completed Assemblyand
Financial Secretary copy to a representative of Assembly at the exemplification.
Faithful Navigators (or their designee)MUST pre-register and send in PAYMENTfor allCandidates Guestsfrom their Assembly making note of any special needs required.
Registrations received after the deadline will be accommodated on a space available with every effort made to meet that accommodation. ALATE FEE of $10 per candidate will be assessed to the Assembly for each candidate registered after the deadline.
To assist in the ease of registration, each Assembly submitting candidates should have a single point of contact for the Assembly with regard to their candidates and associated paperwork. When submitting Form 4’s and associated paperwork, please submit contact person’s name and contact information.
Assemblies and Councils are invited and encouraged to submit advertisements for commemorative Program Book. Please see attachment titled “Program Booklet Advertising" for details on cost and where to submit.

Cost of the banquet:$30.00foreach guestover the age of 12, children age 5 to 12 - $15.00 each, under 5 is free. The $25 banquet fee for priests should be paid by the Assembly. Submit each candidate’s COMPLETED Form 4 with registration. Form 4 must be filled out completely with particular note of the following information: candidate’s membership number, signatures of the Candidate andProposer, certification by Financial Secretary of Candidate’s Council and signatures from Faithful Navigator and Comptroller.
