Celgeneis seeking technical leaders to serve as Senior Formulation Development Scientists at our R&D facilities in New Jersey.
The professional in this position will lead formulation development for high priority drug candidates in the therapeutic areas of immunology and inflammation, hematology, and oncology. You will use innovative approaches to design formulations and manufacturing processes for solid oral and injectabledosage forms. You will identify, define, and resolve challenges that arise during development related to pharmacokinetics, stability, packaging, and manufacturing technology. This professional will lead and/or participate on multi-disciplinary product development teams. You will develop new scientific ideas, technologies, and processes that contribute to the responsibilities described above. Other responsibilities include statistical experimental design & data analysis, transfer of technologies & processes to manufacturing sites, and the completion of technical reports, regulatory submissions and patent applications.
This position requires a Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, chemistry or a closely related discipline. Opportunities are available for candidates with all levels of experience, from entry level to industry expert. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, solve scientific problems, and work with other professionals in a highly collaborative environment. An understanding of the significance of physical and chemical properties of drug substances to absorption, bioavailability, and drug product development is desirable. This visible and business-critical role demands excellent oral and written communication skills.
