SUMMER READING
Check out our newest books on the featured shelves in the library.
Soles4Souls
Remember to bring your gently worn shoes to church so someone else can make use of them. Just tie the laces together or rubber band them and place them in the drop box behind the stage room off the main hall. Your shoes may wind up blessing someone across the world – or right here in our own community.

BASEMENT NEWS
We had a great start to our series, “You Asked For It,” and we will continue part two this Sunday night.
After the basement this Sunday night, we will be staying to watch a movie and hang out. Pick up time for this will be between 10-10:30pm. Movie is to be determined.
This Wednesday we will be going to the Braves game. Sign-ups are now closed for this trip.
This Saturday, July 25th, we have a mission project with the non-profit, Take the City. We will be serving our community with them. This is a no cost event but we do need to know who is going. If you can let Pierce know that would be best!
Finally this Sunday night is the last night to sign up for Motion Conference! It will be July 30-Aug 1st. Cost is $200.
Basement Fundraiser
Grab your basement coffee mug for only $10 before they are all gone.

VBS/Kids Camp Mission Project
The children at Bible School brought items for UMCOR School Kits to be sent to children in Third World and disaster areas. The children at Kids Camp are going to put the kits together. I am in need of help in sewing cloth bags for the kits. There are specific instructions but they are simple.
If you could help, please call, text or email me.

MIDTOWN CLASSIC 5K
MAKES DONATIONS
This past Sunday we celebrated supporting three ministries in our Midtown Wynnton Neighborhood Area from the money raised by our 2015 Midtown Classic 5K and Fun Run. JT and Hallie Taylor presented checks in all or our worship services to Back Packs of Grace ($500), Wynnton Neighborhood Network ($7,000), and Wynnton Neighborhood Housing ($7,000). Over the last 9 years the 5K has donated a total of $136,858.
Thanks to Hallie Taylor (Committee Chair) and every Committee member, sponsor, volunteer, runner, and walker who made this possible.
