A Living Legend with a Compassionate heart

Physically he is solid. Emotionally he is clear. Intellectually he is certain. Universally he is known.”

To me, He is Perfect

“He’s not getting older; he’s only getting better.”

He is a magnificent man with million-megawatt smile,

A super Star with a compassionate heart,

A marvelous being with great responsibility,

A beautiful human with infinite love and unlimited charm.

He got them all. He is dedicated and absorbed as a father, an actor and a producer. Yes, he is good at it. He knows what a perfection of life means to him.

It seems that everything he touches turns to gold. Not everyone likes him, but everyone respects him. Men envy him, and women love him.

He is sympathetic and generous, kind-hearted and down-to-earth. He is truly a living legend with a beautiful heart. And he is -- Tom Cruise.

He has been riding high for two decades. He's a laid-back star with huge box-office hits under his belt; he is magnetic with great charisma.

When he wants to, he can dress with style; but most of the time, he just wears boots, jeans and a baseball cap. He wants to be comfortable, but a less scruffy look would look fine on him too.

He don’t drink, but he can drive his motorcycle to 200/MPH.

He is short; but he is the best fighter pilot in history.

He is 42 years old, but he is going to conquer the highest mountain in the world.

He is not older, he is only better. Adventure is coming for him one after and another, and he is going to enjoy them over and over.

Challenge is his lover; Scientology only boosts both his life and career.

He is rolling in the 21st century; he rocks the world as a man with great quality and power.

He is the man I admire.

“Great power comes from great responsibility.” Tom has been responsible for every aspect of his life, his family, his career, his every single movie and his every single woman. He never takes for granted from anything. He takes every part of life responsibly. That’s why he is such a powerful man. I’ve always thought commitment is what differs a man with power. You are either powerful or you are irresponsible.

I have always wondering if Tom lived in Asia in his previous life. His understanding about family is so close to Asians. He has tremendous love for his mom and sisters. Family is the most important thing in his life. He has been always close to his mom and sisters. Family flower is always blossoming abundantly in his garden, and he knows what it’s meant to him.

He will never tell you failure is what he learned from. In his dictionary, you can only find one word-success. He does not believe he can’t have whatever he wants. Hedoesn’t care about what other people saying. He just does whatever he believes. He trusts his instincts and follows his heart.

Time is too precious for him, that’s why he does not sleep much. He does work out but he much prefers outdoor adventure. He wants to live life to the fullest, he wants to experience life a thousand times. He is already ahead of us, with determination, dedication, and his own faith. He is already left us behind, far far away.

He is always positive; he is always energetic, (it seems like he never sleeps); he is always passionate. It seems everyday is new to him, he treats every day with a fresh eye. cause he loves to learn; he knows a simply truth that most people don’t know: “ If you say ‘Yes’ to life, life will say ‘Yes’ to you. You get exactly what you give to life. The more you give , the more you get.” Tom gives life what exactly he expects life gives to him. Like what he said: “Life is about living, it’s about engaging life. The better and more you understand about it, the better you are going to be able to deal with it. The more you know about it, the better you learn how you want to live it. That’s what I am always trying to do.”

That’s why he is the man who knows his own power. He has been energizing and inspiring me thousands of times when I lost in the city of Angeles.

He makes me believe that:

“Life could be really spectacular, if you make it;

Happiness could be really simple if you have faith;

Challenge and adventure is really what keeps life going if you understand risk is the only way to take us to new dimensions.

You have to think big if you want to be above all.

When I feel down, I immediately think about him, and let his power and inner energy guild me through the darkest time, effortlessly, and appreciatorily. For me, he is the metaphor of human force: fire and desire.

He never looks back, he only looks forward. He will tell you how he is going to make impossible possible after he conquers the Everest.

I love him just the way he is; no more, no less. To me, he is perfect.

This Boy’s life

He was only 12 when his parents divorced. Maybe one of the reasons why he is such a well-grounded human is because of his difficult upbringing. His family had to get by with little money after his parents’ divorce.

The only son of the gypsy type of family who liked to travel around, Tom spent his boyhood eternally on the move and by the time he was 14 he had attended 15 different schools in the US and Canada. He finally settled in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, with his mother and her new husband.

After spent a year at Franciscan monastery, the young, dyslexic Cruise abandoned his plans of becoming a priest, and found out that acting was his true calling, so he dropped out of school. At the age of 18, he headed for New York.

Of course 18 years old Tom did not expect a few years later he would be a Hollywood super star and the following 20 years of his life are going to be the stuff of legends.

Luck happens to those who believe in themselves. Tom has been always had faith on himself from the very beginning. Passion and faith gave him the keys of success. So it’s not surprising us that success happens so early on this deep religious boy who was even a little bit shy.

Everything happens for a reason, including luck. I believe luck does not happy randomly. It looks like it just comes, actually you made it. The water comes, then the creek forms. The water is your heart, the creek is your luck. You create your own luck, happiness, and success. You are the ONLY one in charge of your life, including fame. Tom just did what he could, and the fame just came. He did not know what his life is going to be. He recalled: “I remember getting through high school and thinking, 'Boy, I'm glad I got that behind me!' Then when I was 19, I got 'Risky Business,' and I realized, 'Ah, so this is life - it's a little bigger than I thought!”

He did what he could till his destiny revealed; and this destiny is what he created from the very beginning.

There is a Chinese saying: “Behind every successful man, there is a woman.” Tom got four women! They are like four beautiful sunflowers blossoming for him no matter it’s sunny or raining. He is a lucky man. He got enough love to give. And the four important women who would never leave him are his beloved mother and three sisters.

His father died of cancer not very long after he moved to New York, to be specific, it was four years later. Maybe because of the lack of father’s love, that’s why he is such a solid father. He understands how important the parents’ love to the kids. He is a perfect daddy. Ever time when he talks about his two wonderful adopted children, his eyes are shining and sparkling. He loves them so much, unconditionally.

Of course, Tom became the Star first then became a father. He is lucky as a family man, he is also lucky as a movie star.

As I said before, Luck ONLY happens to those who are not looking for it. So does fame. Tom said he never cared about fame and money, it just happened to him. He told us a story about his first reaction about fame at the UCLA Royce hall.

He said many years ago he was attending an event to promote Top Gun, right after he entered the building, he saw thousands of people are screaming, “ Is there a fire or something?”

He was wondering what’s going on here. Then he saw all the people were flowing directly toward him, he realized there was no fire. They were screaming because of him!

What a lovely story! Tom said that time Top Gun was not even released in theaters yet.

By the 1990s Cruise was one of the highest paid actors in the world earning an average 15 million dollars a picture in such blockbuster hits as Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles(1994) , Mission: Impossible (1996) and Jerry Maguire (1996) for which he received an Academy Award Nomination for best actor.
In 1999, he played an unusual Tom Cruise role in the drama Magnolia. It won him a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, and an Oscar nomination in the same category.
Also in the same year Eyes wide Shut gave him an opportunity with his then-wife Nicole Kidman collaborates again. That movie was controversial just as much as Vanilla Sky (2001).
Cruise felt Vanilla Sky is a very important movie to him personally and he would have absolutely kicked himself if he hadn't done Eyes Widely Shut. He felt it was his responsibility to do the two movies. They were the roles he had to play. They all have special meaning to him. “I would have to say that Vanilla Sky is the best film I have ever done". He said this in 2001 when the movie just came out.
This year, Cruise is rolling again with Collateral (2004), which is another big blockbuster hit after Minority Report (2002), in which he collaborated with Steven Spielberg.
In 2003, Tom Cruise took the most challenging role in his acting history as an American captain who went to Japan in 1868 to train their Army. This is probably the most powerful epic film in history -- The last Samurai. Cruise gave us an Oscar worthy acting. I think this is his best performance by far. If Tom Cruise has ever deserved an Oscar, this is it.
Now he’s shooting War of the worlds with Spielberg, which is planned to be released in June 2005. He is also planning to collaborate with Mel Gipson and John Woo. Mission Impossible III is supposed to be in theater in 2006. Tom has been flying his own plane to prepare for the film.
Twenty years in a row; Twenty years have been shining for this fabulous man; this true gem star has brightened our own sky in the dark.
Indeed, that sensitive, deeply religious shy boy came long way from the lonely wanderings of his youth and made himself a legend. Thomas Cruise Mapother IV was destined to become Tom Cruise, one of the highest paid and most sought after actors in screen history.
What’s next?
“There's no pinnacle of power where you can sit back and rest.”
-- Tom Cruise
Cruise is a true legend in every aspect of his life. He seems have infinite energy and ambition. Now he is planning on expedition of Mount Everest!
He is 42, but he looks like 24. He is improving his life everyday; he is waiting for more exciting things happen to him; new adventure is what keeps him going. He seems restless and always energetic; He is truly living his life to the fullest. We love him cause he is using his action to show us how life could be magnificent and spectacular.
He is a man who truly knows what happiness means. He always makes the best of everything! He is always busy, yes, he is a workaholic, but I think he knows more about how to explore the totality of possibilities than any of us. He teaches us how one can live his/her life fully, healthily and happily, most importantly how one can have an extraordinary life with amazing power.
Tom Cruise has always epitomized cool, of course he is. He is cool, man. He is the best fighter pilot, best car racer, he was even a vampire and Samurai! He spent months on training sword just to be able to do all the stunt doubles himself! He was so dedicated to practice the old style samurai fighting; in the movie, he was even speaking Japanese! Man, this guy is the coolest!
He wants to gain competency at rock-climbing and flying, and he loves to do Nascar racing and bike-riding, whatever they need for films.
He loves skydiving He loves all adventures. He is planning on climbing Mount Everest; he even said he would go to the space in a second.
I am speechless when I face this man; his passion, energy, and determination make me feel shame and can’t say a damn word.
His eager of learning makes him adapt any change, like end of the world, he said he can live out in the woods. “I would eat bugs. I can use a sword and a pistol and stuff." He said.
Cruise, ultimately, is a survivor. "There's a confidence that comes from knowing you can work, no matter what," he says. "I can deliver papers. I can take care of myself."
I love him even if he was not a movie star. I love him cause the way he is, his attitude and personality. He is the type of man I admire and want to be with, even someday he will have to deliver paper or something.
Everything about him is so inspiring; I can’t tell you that how much he changed my life. He taught me trust and believe in myself; he taught me never give up. He taught me what charisma can do for you; he taught me positive is the only attitude one shall have.
Maybe he is a little bit luckier than most of us, cause he is doing exactly what he loves to make a living. But the luck does not seem a coincidence to me.
His success was meant to be. He followed his heart and listened his own inner voice. He has been creating his own destiny.
And he will never stop digging new adventure and challenges. He said: “I've always been changing and evolving and growing. There's no pinnacle of power where you can sit back and rest.”
He is already ahead of us in many ways. He is a phenomenon. He is the shit. As I said, he is not getting older, he is only getting better! He is going to make more miracles in the future. I just simply believe in him. Nothing he can’t conquer. I love and admire this guy, the way he lives, his attitude and philosophy of life are uplifting and inspirational. He taught me a splendid life not only need dedication, most importantly, it needs faith and belief.
Let’s pray for him, pray for our beautiful life, let’s celebrate the new sunshine of each day. Tom, I just can’t get enough of you, let me drop my tears one more time just for you. God bless and I love you!
