1. Online Faculty Instruction Guides-
DE members will review other colleges' guides and give notes in our shell
- Nancy reviewing Harbor
- Tim Russell reviewing Trade(?) Can Tim add notes online to our shell?
- Alice reviewing Mission
2. Online Counseling
DE Committee suggests to counseling that the college needs backup for online counseling. (24/7 counseling service?)
e chat questions go to Helen Young's mailbox. What if she is out?
3. 3/30/11 Minutes referral
A. Did a request go to Diane Matsuno to ask her if she could provide information for Spring 2011 online tutoring stats?
How many contact hours? What are peak hours?
B. Did Tim Russell assign shorter more frequent sessions for online tutors. 15 minutes each hour rather than 2 hours at a time?

4. Curricula
- Eric Ichon will take responsibility to see if the college has the paperwork for Distance Ed. curricula approval for current hybrid and online courses.
- Any replacement of seat time needs to go through the Curriculum Committee
- Deans and Dept. Chairs need to monitor Distance Ed. Learning curricula to compare rigor with seat time course
Discussion as per percentage of load a faculty member can do online. (100%, 75%, 50%?)
What is the rationale for not having a 100% load online. (From Admin? From faculty?)
New Business:
DE Committee recommends to Senate that DE Office has access to shells. Eric will send announcement, but Eric will give opt out in e mail to faculty.
Who are representatives on DE from Senate? (Adrienne said that Nancy is 'guest')
Major area we/DE committee will use for communication and collaboration is in modules.
Will move info to website later when we get a site.
We can add others as guests.
