March 15 / Commonwealth Credit Union “Adam Bender Reach for Excellence” Scholarship / Scholarships specifically designed for Commonwealth Credit Union members that have overcome a physical or learning disability. March 29 / Kentucky Electronic Security Association (KYESA) Youth Scholarship Program / Awarding one $1,000 scholarship. Applicants must be accepted for admission to an accredited college or university. Parent must be a full-time employee of the police or sheriff’s department or fire department. Parent may also be a volunteer member of a fire department. See Guidance Office for application.
April 1 / Blue Grass Energy Scholarship / Awarding $10,000 in scholarships to students based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need. One-time, non-renewable grants are paid directly to the college. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. See Guidance Office or apply at
April 1 / Kentucky Federation of Republican Women Scholarship Program / Grants one $1,000 scholarship annually to a college-bound senior girl who has been politically active during high school. Must be a registered Republican and plan to enroll at an accredited college or university in Kentucky. See Guidance Office for application.
April 15 / University of Louisville Central Kentucky Alumni Scholarship / Must plan to attend the University of Louisville. Scholarships awarded to students best exemplifying the following characteristics: leadership ability, academic achievement, breadth of interests and financial need as determined by a committee of club members. April 15 / University of Louisville Michael R. Baer Scholarship / Must plan to attend the University of Louisville. Awarded preferentially to a student whose father, mother or guardian is a recovering patient, current patient or a victim of a terminal illness. Apply at

April 15 / Woodford County Farm Bureau / Awarding two scholarships of $1,500 ($750 each semester) to students pursuing a four-year degree. Must have a 2.5 GPA and be the child of a Woodford County Farm Bureau member. See Guidance Office for application.
April 15 / Central Kentucky Maintenance Council Scholarship / Created to assist one senior interested in furthering his/her education in a mechanical field/diesel mechanics in a Career or Technical School educational environment. Students going into diesel mechanics will be given preference. Selection committee will consider financial need, good citizenship, school activities, and community involvement in awarding this scholarship. See Guidance Office for application.

May 1 / Woodford County Human Rights Commission and Roots and Heritage Festival Scholarship / Scholarship for Woodford County High School seniors who plan to attend college or trade school. May 3 / Gayle Douglas Memorial Scholarship / Available to senior female student athletes with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must write a one page essay on a community service project in which you have participated and explain why community service is important to you.
June 15 / University of Kentucky’s Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity Scholarship / Awarding a $1,000 scholarship to any deserving man or woman who is planning to enroll at the University of Kentucky. Being a member or becoming a member is not required. Phone interview and/or a face to face interview may be required if you are selected as a finalist. Apply at
October 4 / AES Engineering Consulting Firm / AES’ belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped.
