MANAGING DIRECTOR’S REPORT 2012/2013
Introduction
My first year as SADAA MD has been a busy one. My leadership qualities have been tried and tested. I set out with goals to benefit and motivate regions, judges and handlers. I was very grateful for the guidance I received from the SADAA Board and with the support from all the Regional Directors, Iwas able to achieve what I set out to do.
Reflecting back
With the outgoing RD stressing that SADAA needed RD's to promote the growth of SADAA in certain areas, Regions were shifted and new RD’s appointed.Active regions continued with their promotion of SADAA by hosting SADAA Club Trials and Regional Trials in their areas and this allowed me to concentrate on the non-active regions. A new RD was appointed for Gauteng and KZN.Border, Eastern Cape and Knysna areas were amalgamated into a single Region and is presently being run by WP RD.
SADAA was able to thank their judges by supplying them with the latest 3D version of Clean Run Course Designer. SADAA also hosted a judges’ conversion course and they are currently undergoing their practical tests throughout the country.
A few Rules were amended immediately to benefit Handlers and will become part of the SADAA Rules currently being updated.
Way forward
I am in constant contact with the Board so it is always my aim to address comments and queries as quickly as possible.
My focus will continue to be on areas that need motivation to grow and working towards making SADAA the “friendlier and better alternative”. I can only achieve this with the support of ALL SADAA members.
Conclusion
SADAA can only continue to grow with the support and positive contribution from its handlers. Keep up the high spirit and be positive. Thank U to each and every one again however small a part you play in SADAA. I hope to see your continuous support.
Viva SADAA!
