1. TOWN OF SHALLOTTE UDO AMENDMENT ORDINANCE NUMBER 14-05– The Town has initiated an amendment to the UDO, Article 21, Section 21-4 (K) regarding campaign sign requirements. The proposed amendment modifies current campaign sign requirements in the UDO to reflect the provisions discussed in North Carolina General Statute 136-32. Specifically, the amendment modifies the size, time duration, proximity to and height above street or highway pavement, and adds language that it shall be a Class 3 misdemeanor for any person to steal, deface, vandalize, or unlawfully remove a political sign that is lawfully placed.
