Plan for delays in Elk RiverWork, lane closures begin July 6Motorists may encounter periodic lane or shoulder closures on both directions of Highway 10 in Elk River as crews prepare the work zone and construct temporary crossovers through July 2017.

Highway 10 Work ZoneEastbound one lane, westbound two lanesHighway 10 to remain open to traffic through the work zone during construction, however motorists should plan for delays. Work beginning mid-July:

  • Eastbound Hwy 10 reduced to a single-lane
  • Westbound Hwy 10 open to two lanes with periodic single lane closures
  • Expect reduced speeds, narrow lanes, lane shifts, sudden stops due to back-ups

Information is tentative and subject to change. Work operations and lane closures
will suspend over the 2017-2018 winter season.
