Chemical Reactions “Mini-Research Project”
The purpose of this project is two-fold. First, it will help you learn more about a type of chemical reaction. Second, it will show how that reaction is used in the real world.
You will be researching a ______combustion______reaction.
Your 8.5x11” poster should include:
- The title of your reaction
- One example of the reaction
- The names and formulas of the reactants
- The names and formulas of the products
- A model showing how the products become the reactants
- Does the reaction produce any type of energy? Heat? Light? Sound?
- Is this chemical reaction useful, harmful, or benign? What is it used for or when is it seen? For example, rusting metal is generally a negative event. An instant ice pack is a desired outcome.
- Pictures/Color/etc!
