Students must pick a different item from the list to complete for homework on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. The assignment must be turned in the following morning (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings) in order to receive credit.

1.  Write your spelling words in ABC order AND reverse ABC order.

2.  Write a sentence for 25 of your words.

3.  Write your words in manuscript seven times each.

4.  Write your words in cursive five times each.

5.  Type five different lists of your words on the computer. Make each list be in a different font.

6.  Write ALL your spelling words, then write a rhyming word for each word.

7.  Write ALL your spelling words, then write either a synonym and antonym for each one.

8.  Write the definition for 20 of your spelling words from a dictionary.

9.  Rainbow spell your words. Write the spelling word in a colored pencil or crayon and then trace over the word with two other different colors. At the end you will have your words written in 3 different colors.

10. Ladder spell ALL of your words

11. Write ALL your words in bubble letters.

12. Using a dictionary, write the guide words for 20 of your spelling words. Make sure you write your spelling word down too.

13. Write a poem using at least 20 of your spelling words.

14. Write your words using one color for vowels and another color for consonants.

15. Write your spelling words, then next to them write them backwards.

16. Scramble your spelling words. Provide the answer next to the word.

17. Write your spelling words in order by length. Either start with the shortest or longest word first.

18. Using a dictionary, write ALL your spelling words and then tell the part of speech for each word (noun, verb, adjective, adverb).
