Great News!

Everyday Math on-line games are here!

We are excited to announce that the Everyday Math on-line games are ready for your child to explore and enjoy! Your child can play the games anywhere you have internet access.

Games are an essential part of Everyday Mathematics. Students need frequent practice to master a skill, yet drills become monotonous and less effective over time. Games, however, relieve the tedium of rote repetition, reduce the need for worksheets, and because most numbers are generated randomly, offer an almost unlimited source of mathematical problem solving material. Everyday Math games reinforce concepts in a valuable and enjoyable way. They are designed to help children practice their basic facts and computation skills. Additionally, students develop increasingly sophisticated problem-solving strategies.

Students play the games independently against the computer and receive accurate feedback on their understanding of mathematical concepts. The online versions give students unlimited access to the Everyday Math games from home and school. Detailed reports let teachers and parents monitor student success at each game as children increase their mathematical competence and problem solving abilities.

Children will benefit greatly from the online games because they are fun to play. They are animated, interactive, electronic versions of the games they play in class. Each game offers the ability for differentiation by allowing the skill level to be altered as necessary, therefore stretching each student’s mathematical thinking.
