Francis Marion Pool is an eight lane 25 yard pool, but lanes 3 and 6 do not have blocks because of the diving boards. Only lanes 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 will be used during the meet for competition. Warm-ups will take place in all eight lanes of the pool. There will be no warm down area during the meet. Only officials, coaches and swimmers will be allowed on the deck during warm-up and competition. The facility features 2 locker rooms (Boys and Girls), along with separate rest room facilities for spectators. All areas of the facility are handicap accessible. A large parking lot is available with overflow parking available in other area on the campus. There is an outside seating area as well as a balcony area for spectator viewing. The water depth of the competition pool is twelve feet to six feet measured from one meter to five meters at the starting end of the course and three and half feet to five feet measured from one meter to five meters at the turn end of the course. Meet information shall include a statement as to the certification status of the competition course. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4).
Rules: / Meet to be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming and SC Swimming Rules and Regulations and information herein.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is prohibited in changing areas, rest rooms, and locker rooms.
Changing into or out swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.
Athlete
Eligibility: / Age is to be determined by the first day of the meet. All swimmers and teams must be currently registered members of USA Swimming, Inc. Invitational Meet for ages 10 and under, 11/12, and Open. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Swimmers can swim up to 3 events on Friday night and 5 events plus a relay on Saturday

Teams may enter as many relays as desired. SC Swimming does not accept deck registrations. All swimmers entered must be registered at time of entry deadline.
Meet Format: / • Any swimmer who is positively checked-in for an individual event and does not swim the event will be ineligible for his/her next individual event.
• Positive check-in will close thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of the session.
• All events and age groups will swim be swum as time finals.
• Each swimmer swimming in a distance event (500 or longer) will be required to provide a timer.
• Swimmers must provide their own person to lap count for the 1000 yard freestyle.
• Meet management reserves the right to adjust the number of swimmers in an event due to time restrictions. Management also reserves the right to move an age group to another session based on the time line and number of entries. Meet management reserves the right to combine sessions.
• Meet management reserves the right to insert breaks in the meet where necessary to allow athletes proper rest or warm down time.
• All entry fees must be paid before the meet begins. Late and deck entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the Meet Director and at double the event fee for empty lanes.
• NO ADDITIONAL HEATS WILL BE CREATED.
• Warm-up procedures: Team lane assignments will be made for each session. All SCLSC and USA Swimming safety guidelines will be enforced.
· Time Trials will be conducted at the discretion of the Meet Director and Meet Referee
· Meet Management reserves the right to adjust warm-ups and meet start times based upon the number of entries. Teams will be notified of any changes in the timeline via e-mail.
· Clubs should submit a single check payable to FAST for the full amount due. All fees must be paid prior to any swimmer entering the pool. Entry fees for events not swum will not be refunded nor will a credit be given.
· Please use swimmer’s full name, age, and sanctioned short course yard times or a no time. Entries submitted electronically using sd3 format is expected. Go to www.hy-tekltd.com to download Team Manager II Lite if your club does not possess team management software. You must submit paper back-up and your signed team summary sheet for verification.

Coaches
Eligibility: / All coaches must be a current member in good standing with USA Swimming and present their credentials to receive their coaching packet. Coaches’ credentials should be visible at all times.
Coaches must check in at Clerk of Course and provide current coaching credentials to be permitted on deck. Coaches Meeting: A coaches meeting will be held fifteen minutes prior to the start of the Friday Timed Final Session. The referee may call other coaches meetings as needed. One coach from each team may pick up the team’s packet at Clerk of Course.
