My name is Whitney Lopez and I would like to welcome you to Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy for the 2014-2015 school year. I look forward to working with you to ensure that your child has a successful and positive school year. I believe that parent-teacher relationships are necessary for maximum school success. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is designed to reinforce and enhance a student’s basic math skills and guide them in the application of those skills to various operations. It is an individualized course that is designed to address and provide support for the needs of the student and to address individual student goals.
COURSE EXPECTATIONS AND SUPPLIES
Students will be expected to be on time and prepared for class with the necessary supplies needed to complete the assigned task(s) for that particular day. It is expected that students put in maximum effort to complete assignments as it will be reflected in the grade they receive for any assignment and the course as a whole. It is expected that students who are absent are responsible for meeting with me and/or checking my school webpage for the most-up-to date information for missed assignments and any homework that may have been assigned.
Plagiarism/Cheating
Any form of plagiarism or cheating will be handled according to Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy policy.

[No mechanical pencils, please!]

COURSE GRADING
Students will be graded for accuracy and completion. It is expected that they come to class ready to work and participate in the scheduled activity.
The following 4-point grading scale will be used in this course.
4 Point Grading Scale / Grade / Percentage4.0 / A / 100% - 90%
3.0 / B / 89% - 80%
2.0 / C / 79% - 70%
1.0 / D / 69%-60%
0 / Fail / 59% or below
HOMEWORK
Homework will be assigned as needed.
