PRESCHOOL MANAGEMENT
TO DO EVERY DAY:
BEFORE CHILDREN ARRIVE:
Unlock all 22 cupboards and outside door
Feed fish
Up date parent info board: new calendars, snack calendar, new sign in sheet, new show and tell letter
Review day- check snack
Set up discovery- chairs, set out materials so it is enticing for the children
Fold laundry
Gather children=s smocks
Unload dishwasher, perhaps fill with dirty dishes
Prepare teach/evaluation clipboards for student grading
WHEN CHILDREN ARRIVE AND DURING CLASS:
Greet each child so they feel welcome
Direct parents to sign-in sheet
Count children every few minutes
Child safety
Take roll: high school students and children
Hand back lesson plans and graded assignments
Keep schedule running smooth
Take pictures
BEFORE CHILDREN LEAVE:
Have parents look for information in their cubbies
Have parents sign out
Say good-bye to each child, parent
WHEN ALL CHILDREN LEAVE:
Correct assignments record teaching/evaluation grades
Review next day
Meet with parents and students for help
Record anecdotal notes
Dishes
Laundry- towels, smocks
Chairs up
T-san areas not done- usually only counters in kitchen and sink areas

Mail box- make deposit and file scholastic forms

Center and kitchen maintenance forms out (assign to students as they are free)

Pass back graded assignments
Say good-bye to each child as they leave. Parent relations

Throw away dough products
Assign next week=s assessment times, kitchen cleaning times, and center cleaning times
Put new book orders in cubbies
Calculate and give Moyle scholastic book orders
Make shopping list from lesson plans and snack calendar
Pin up next weeks lesson plans for parents
Shop for groceries
