Evan Wendlandt called the meeting or order at 8:05 a.m. On motion by Eidahland seconded by Harkethe agenda was approved. On motion by Erdmann and seconded by Tonythe minutes of the January 6thmeetingwere approved with scribers errors corrected.

Jenkinson from the Chamber gave an update on calendar events.Jenkinson noted April 26th Business after 5 at Evolve Studios, May 14th will be the City Wide Garage Sale, May 23rd Trunk Show at Berlin Family Eye Care, and May 29th The Berlin Area Historical Society Opens for the Season.

Eidahl had to step out due to the power being out at the schools.

Jenkinson reported for the Berlin Chamber. Jenkinson noted that the Chamber recently added two new members, The House on Park, and Berlin Historical Apartments, Early June the Giger tours will be coming through Green Lake Country, and the Berlin Chamber is still looking for ideas or opportunities for them. Jenkinson finished by noting that August 27th will be the Berlin Fox Festival.

Wendlandt gave a quick update on BCDC activity. They are still working with The Berlin Manufacturing Workforce Group and hosted a meeting with Joan Ballwegin March for the Manufacturing Group.

Wendlandt and Schramer updated on City activityWendlandt noted the continued work being done to attract a hotel to the community and the marketing of the Hotel Market Analysis, Wendlandt finished noting the construction slated for the new Shelter house roofs at Riverside Park and Center Street starting April 18-25th, 2016 and will wrap up by October.

Jenkinson reported for the Green Lake Country Visitors Bureau. Jenkinson noted that they have an upcoming golf outing on May 16th they are still needing more groups for. The round will be played at Tuscumbia, Jenkinson finished by noting that the group is still looking for the new Executive Director.

Bobbie Erdmann reported for the Berlin Historical Society. Erdmann reported that the Berlin Historical Society will open Memorial Day for the season and will have an open house on May 29th. They will then be open the 2ndand 4th Sunday every month in June July and August. Erdmann finished by noting the story on the 1956 Berlin tornado for the 60 year anniversary of it.

Bartol reported for the Boys and Girls Club of the Tri-County Area. Bartol noted that April 19th the club will be hosting their youth of the year dinner at City Inn. Bartol finished by noting that May 7th summer registration for the club will take place at Clay Lamberton, and June 6th is the Driving Fore the Club golf outing at Mascoutin.

Daleyreported for the Berlin Journal and Schmidt reported for Hometown Broadcasting. Daley reminded everyone to continue to update him on activity in the area, so that it gets adequate coverage

Harke reported for the Boat Club. Hereported that for the 2016 season the locks will be open 22 weekends from May 21st through September 6th. Harke also noted that the Berlin Boat Club does accept donations to help with Lockage Fees, which is help funded by their annual Corn Roast which is August 12-13th this year, and finished by noting that the Neenah lock is threatened to be closed for the season due to invasive fish species, but at this time it does not threaten the Eureka Lock.

Parsons reported for the Berlin Library. Parsons reported that April 10-16 is National Library Week and itwill be celebrated atthe library, she noted celebrations continue to April 20th for Eeyore’s Birthday and April 26th when they celebrate William Shakespeare’s Birthday. Parsons finished by noting the two historical programs coming up on April 7th and 9th which revolved around Mary Todd Lincoln.

Jenkinson reported for the Farmers Market. She noted that Jamie Kraft was going to take the lead on the 2016 program of events, and that she will hopefully be at the next CommUNITY Team meeting.

Vesley reported for her Downtown Business. She noted that the City’s snow removal performance was very impressive and wanted to thank the street department crew for the work they did this winter. Mrs. Vesely did wrap up by noting that the parking enforcement efforts downtown are less than desired, and that it would be great to have better enforcement to free up areas for customer parking.

Navin reported for Friends of the Park. Navin noted that at this time with there not being a need for any more trees, and efforts and ability of older members the group will suspend their efforts. Navin did note that there will be one last ginkgo planted, but then the group will be reevaluating what resources they can provide to the community and the parks.
