1.0CALL TO ORDER

Council Member deViere called the meeting to order at 4:38 p.m. Council Member deViere stated items 3 and 4 will be discussed in closed session.

2.0APPROVAL OF AGENDA

MOTION:Council Member Wright moved to approve the agenda

SECOND:Commissioner Adams

VOTE:UNANIMOUS (7-0)

Council Member Wright provided an overview of the communications aspect of the project, and stated we are trying to get the community involved as much as possible. Mayor Robertson stated there would be series of public hearings to gage the public’s interest in the proposed baseball stadium. Council Member Arp stated his interest is in the economic development aspect of the proposed project and further stated it is necessary to be as transparent as possible.

MOTION:Council Member Arp moved to go into closed session for consultation with the attorney regarding negotiating strategies and economic development matters related to the proposed baseball stadium.

The regular session recessed at 4:56 p.m. The regular session reconvened at 6:05 p.m.

MOTION:Council Member Arp moved to go into open session.

MOTION:Council Member Arp moved to continue this meeting on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 @ 4:30 p.m. in the Lafayette Conference Room of City Hall
