BUS PASSENGER CODE OF CONDUCT 2009
Riding the school bus is a privilege. Proper conduct of the pupils on board is an important part of accident prevention. Thank you for your cooperation.
1. Students need to wait at the bus stop in an orderly manner, and need to stand still until the bus comes to a complete stop. Students cannot push or crowd while entering the bus. Students must be ON TIME at their bus stop.
2. Students must sit up in their seat, face the front of the bus and keep their feet out of the aisle and off the seats. Students cannot change seats while the bus is moving, or leave their seats until the bus stops and the doors open.
3. Students must not annoy or interfere with other passengers while on the bus, or at the loading sites. No students are allowed to disturb or damage the property of other passengers.
4. No part of the body (e.g. head, arms, elbows, hands or feet/legs) can extend out of the windows. Students must not yell at cars or people on the street. Spitting or throwing anything out of the bus is prohibited.
5. No students, at any time, can make any sudden movement or loud noise or disturbance that would distract the driver’s attention.
6. Eating, drinking and/or use of tobacco on the bus are prohibited.
7. Live animals, except Seeing Eye dogs are prohibited at all times on the bus.
8. Parents and/or guardians are liable for any damage to the seats or any other parts of the bus. Students who are responsible for damage are subject to disciplinary action.
DISCIPLINARY ACTION: The driver will notify the Summer Connection site administrator or other designated school representative when a student’s behavior is in violation of the Bus Passenger Code of Conduct. Parents will be notified by phone or mail of the violation/s. Violations will be subject to the following action:
1st Violation: Warning to the students by the site administrator or his/her designee with notification to parents.
2nd Violation: From two days to two weeks denial of transportation: parents will be notified.
3rd Violation: Denial of transportation for the duration of the summer program.
Depending on the violation’s severity and the circumstances, the above actions may be modified.

EL CODIGO DE CONDUCTA EN EL AUTOBUS DE LA ESCUELA 2009
Viajando a la escuela en el autobús es un privilegio. Una parte importante para la prevención de accidentes es la conducta apropiada de parte de los estudiantes. Muchas gracias por su cooperación.
1. Los estudiantes tienen que quedarse respetuosamente en el lugar de abordar el autobús y no moverse hasta que el autobús se haya parado. Los estudiantes están prohibidos de empujar a otros estudiantes o apretarse en la línea de estudiantes entrando en el autobús. Los estudiantes tienen que estar A TIEMPO en el lugar de abordar el autobús.
2. Los estudiantes tienen que sentarse rectos en el asiento y quedarse mirando al frente del autobús y mantener los pies entre los asientos y no en el pasillo entre los dos lados de asientos. Los estudiantes no pueden cambiarse de asiento mientras que el autobús esté moviendo o dejar el asiento hasta que se pare el autobús y las puertas se abran.
3. Los estudiantes están prohibidos de interferir con otros pasajeros en el autobús tampoco en el lugar de abordar. Los estudiantes están prohibidos de disturbar o hacer daño a las propiedades de otros pasajeros.
4. Ninguna parte del cuerpo (p.e. la cabeza, los brazos, los codos, las manos, los pies/las piernas) puede extenderse fuera de las ventanas del autobús. Los estudiantes no pueden gritar a carros u otras personas en la calle. El acto de escupir o tirar cosas fuera del autobús está prohibido.
5. Ningún estudiante, a cualquier tiempo puede hacer un movimiento no prevenido o un sonido ruidoso o hacer algo que distraería la atención del conductor del autobús.
6. Comer, beber o el uso de productos de tabaco en el autobús están prohibidos.
7. Animales vivos, con la excepción de perros para los ciegos están siempre prohibidos.
8. Los padres y/o los guardianes están responsables por cualquier daño a los asientos u otras partes del autobús hecho por sus niño/a. Los estudiantes quienes están responsables para el daño hecho van a recibir acción disciplinaria.
LA ACCION DISCIPLINARIA: El conductor del autobús informará al administrador u otro representante de la escuela cuando el comportamiento de un estudiante está en violación del Código de Conducta de Pasajeros en el Autobús. Se notificarán a los padres por teléfono o por correo de la violación/las violaciones. Las violaciones recibirán la siguiente acción disciplinaria:
Primera Violación: Se dará el administrador advertencia verbal al estudiante con notificación a los padres.
Segunda Violación: Por dos días hasta dos semanas el estudiante no podrá ser transportado en el autobús; se notificará a los padres.
Tercera Violación: El estudiante no podrá ser transportado por la duración del programa.
Depende de la severidad de la violación y las circunstancias, las acciones arriba pueden ser modificadas.
